I wondered the same thing.  I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up for 2016.

Whiteboy I didn't mean it like she isn't any good. She is a wicked breakaway horse, with a big Stop, drag her butt in the ground. I mean she's not a Frenchmans Guy, DTF, OTMR, Bully Bullion or some of the big name horses.

Then, A Streak of Fling is the best bang for your buck right now, imo.

If you can afford it, I'd go to ASOF. The return will be there if you decide to sell plus they can obviously run.

I honestly wouldnt be either.
He's had a TON of mares breed to him for the last 2 years, so many i think its over kill.
So i pretty much guarantee his fee will go up. Which makes it so tempting to buy 1 more breeding to him now and use it on my pritzi dash mare again, but i just don't think i can do that for this year.
I'll more than likely be holding onto the one due this year.

Just called James Ranch. I was mis informed from a friend about price. It's 3000 with a 500 booking fee included and 300 to ship

There is a group of people that will run from each of the names you listed. It isn't a name that make a horse good. Never tell anybody that your mare is so-so. If she is nice enough to breed go for it. The better the stallion is, it will help your re-sale. If you don't believe in her, why would anybody else. I know you were only half serious, and so am I, but commit and sell it like she's the best **** mare on the planet.

By the way. I really like ASOF for the roping pen. My next stud prospect will be by him and out of a cowbred mare. It might take me a while to create or find but I like him that much.

She has the best disposition of any horse I've owned. except maybe my stud I trained and roped on By Lone Drifter and out of a White lighting Ike mare was a little nicer. Sold him for a lot of money

That would have been a nice cross.

He is a nice horse. The guy that bought him put him in with about 20 running bred mares and they had some nice colts

I too, think ASOF is the best for resale value but What about a Special Effort son? I've been noticing a few winners with his name in the pedigree... Granted, some have been Bully Bullion.

They wont ever give a hard number but it was close to 150, which is about how many DTF's there are each year as well.

I see they have started standing his Sons now quite a few of them standing. I wonder if they will go up to around 5000 on him next year to get the same money with less breedings?

I have looked at a bazillion studs I think. ASOF is my top choice. Bummer he is out of my budget. My mare isn't anything fancy either but she's a heck of a using horse. Barrels poles rope she doesn't hesitate she just goes with it and does what you need. Shes more old cowbred but I like it and I like her. There are so many nice studs out there. I;m still struggling to decide. Sheesh. :D
