I understand that what she did is not ethical to you and I. But what does her oath have to do with you and I?
I 100% disagree with the threats she and her family have been getting. Some of the comments on other sites seem to be from people just as wacko as this chick is, some scary stuff to say the least.
It is up to the authorities to decide what her fate will be.
How in the heck does someone raised like her even consider being a veterinarian if they can't see animals as pets. How can she even relate to her customers? She's in the wrong profession for sure if she has no compassion for the types of animals she treats. You can't turn off that mentality when you are talking to the owner of a cat they consider to be part of their family. |

I'm an animal lover and will go out of my way to pick up a turtle in the road or take in and care for as many animals as I can but I'm also a hunter. I've taken pictures with birds, geese and ducks. I think what she did was in poor judgement and her profession contradicts her actions.
I doubt it, but that is the point, for sport she killed a tame common pet, an animal most people would not take pleasure in killing. There was no sport or hunt to this kill- just a cat in the wrong place when she was taking target practice and she saw him and took the shot. |

She took an oath, shes a vet, this was a pet that she took pleasure in killing and showing off, a vet that took an oath and killed this pet and no telling how many others, this is not right. |

If she had killed a dog with a bow, yes, I would still think she was crazy and needs punishment. If she was standing beside a deer she had killed with a bow, I would see nothing wrong, since it is LEGAL to hunt deer, with a bow.

I don't think she should loose her job over it. Not on vet property and she was on her own time. No lynch mobs are needed. That is for the owner and law enforcement job. She made a bad choice. |
