 I Am Always Right

Location: stray dump capital of the world | I was suppose to be Shannon; however, my dad did not care for the name. While my mother was asleep, they came in to register the name and my dad went with Kathryn. My mom was always pretty upset about it and made comments my entire childhood. Once I was older, I learned Kathryn was the name of a girl my dad dated prior to my mom. Dad said he always liked the name and not necessarily pining for the ex girlfriend. My parents have been married 58 years, so there must be some truth to what he said. |

Location: Missouri | My name is Rebecca..born in 1990 so my parents could've found out what they were having but chose not to. I was their last of five and they wanted a surprise :) They had a list of three girl's names...Anna, Carly and Alison I think. They said I came out and looked nothing like any of those names! I was a bit early, in the hospital 4 days and I think they took every bit of 2-3 days to decide. Apparently they didn't talk about it they just both agreed to think about it and then share their ideas. Apparently the one name they could each come up with was Rebecca.
My middle name is Lynn...and I was born the same yr that country song came out, oddly enough. Lol. |

I have a pretty unique name, Jayden, and everyone tells me it's a guy name! My parents couldn't decide on a middle name so I have two! At least both middle names start with the same letter so I don't have weird innitials.
My dad got to name my brother and he isn't very creative, he had a dog named Jake when he was a kid, a bull named Jake in high school, and his beloved roping horse is Jake, so naturally he named my little brother "Jake"!
On one of the poker sites I play on, I have a lady friend from Canada with your name.... You two are the only ones I've ever seen with it.
Ha ha. There are 2 Jayden's in my daughters class and one in my sons class |

Location: Kansas and loving it | komet. - 2015-05-18 6:08 AMFolks call me 'Huey'.. but... That's not my name...I've always hated my name... even more now that Muslim looking names draw hate. but...I'm one of the rare people that have a 'one of a kind' name... I'm the only person in the world that has my name...My first name is Huson... (Pronounced Hew-Sun) I'm named after my dad's grandfather, John Huson, who was a dairy farmer in Wisconsin .... but............. I was born in Japan.... so my babysitters were Japanese..Well, in case you don't know, The Japanese excel at politeness. They use honorifics extensively... My dad is named David... so he was called David-San. My brother is named Jay... so they called him Jay-San...Well... apparently.. Huson-San was too much trouble... so they started calling me Huey-San........and that's why everybody calls me Huey. My friend used to have a big grey horse named Huey.

Location: 31 lengths farms | Nannette after Nannette dresses...I was supposed to be a boy, dad and his buddies were going to throw beer caps in a hat and which ever beer had the most caps that was my name. Big problem they drank cheap beer so I would have been like Oly or Hamm's or Pabts.... Thankfully I was born a girl, they didn't have a name picked out so mom grabbed an ad insert from a paper and put her finger on an ad for Nannette dresses. |

| I am the youngest of 7 girls (and one brother). My parents ran out of creative ideas for the youngest two of us. Rather generic and plain and I never much liked my name. My mother's name was Wathena and I had an Aunt Leona. My oldest sister did get Wathena Jane (we use it as all one word) but Leona was still free!I also like Wynonna. I also could have seen myself with a now, gender neutral name like Sam(antha), Chris, Toni or something similar. I do not care for my name but am stuck with it.......sigh...... |

Location: Idahome | I was supposed to be Breanna Lynn and apparently my dad decided he didn't like it at the last minute. Changed it to Kyla without my mom knowing. I hated it growing up because I always got called Kyle even though I was a girl. I love it know, but have learned to answer to Kayla, Kylee or anything else that is close. I like somewhat unique names and when we found out we were having a baby girl, we decided on Austyn and it fits her so perfectly. |

Location: Somewhere between S@% stirrer and Saint | My parents were not creative at all. On my father's side there is a long line of Douglas' so I was named after my dad's father. My middle name Jake is named after my mom's father. So my parents didn't want to call me Douglas because there were to many in the family and my mom thought Jake sounded to old for a little kid so I was nick named Jay.I went by Jay until I graduated from High school and everything changed to my official name.Been known as nick names during life: Jay Dog, Spike, and HatchetPacker. |

Location: Oklahoma | My husband is named, marlon. His father was in the national guard and his favorite gun was a marlon something. So he named our daughter Marley. My great grandfather, grandfather, father and I all have the middle name jean (gene for men). So we have Marley Jean. And her initials are the same as my husbands. |
