The Resident Destroyer of Liberal Logic
Location: PNW | My name is Sam, I live on a working ranch in Oregon with my husband (Mitch) and two boys (Porter 3 & Oliver 1). We run about 1000 ewes on our 3000 acre family ranch, and also own a midsize logging company.
Something I'd love, but won't buy for myself: Martin laced leather reins. These are my absolute favorite and I don't think there's such a thing as "too many" pairs.
My favorite colors are neutrals and Earth tones
I love ALL music. Literally all of it.
I love chocolate and coffee. If somebody could start an IV drip of coffee for me, I'd totally go for it.
I LOOOOOOVE to read and am always on the hunt for a new book. I'm completely obsessed with Diana Gabaldon, JK Rowling, and George RR Martin. Obsessed. I have a problem.
I own too many horses, but only run/race one. His name is Preacher, he wears size large (or 80/81/82 blankies) in everything and looks absolutely dashing in plain white. He loves butterscotch, long walks in the pasture, and going fast.

Location: Phoenix | I've never participated in this swap before, but have done gift swaps on others. Whatever I happen to get I'm thankful for! Here's a list of stuff I could use, or am drawn to, or have my eye on:
Ariat riding socks
Fuzzy socks
Leather roping reins, split reins...(Martin type leather)
Soft blankets
Starbucks/Sephora/Ulta
Bubble bath/candles from Bath+Body works (but would be interested in trying a Scentsy?)
Earrings (shorter dangly or studs)
Classic Equine bellboots (paint spatter, chevron...any solid color)
Knotted rope halter
I love brights colors (purple, pink, orange, lime green, turquoise), sugar skulls, fruity smells (peach/mango)...more of a "girly girl" (makeup), not a hunter/camo girl. My horse is Hammer, QH, chestnut, goofball, loves treats. We're trying to learn tricks to keep his mind fresh. Size small-medium in tops. That oughta do it!

| I am not one for asking for things for myself so I have debated long and hard about joining in this year. I have been married 31 years have one son who is 24 we are a barrel racing family. I am very easy to buy for as I love anything I get doesn't matter what it is. I really like the new bell boots with the Aztec designs on them as well as the bronc halter with names on them. I would rather receive horse items than stuff for myself. I love any green color except Kelly green, I like oranges, Browns, blues as well. I have two geldings Escape 6 years old and his 1/2 brother Koony who is 5 both are my barrel racing partners. I am a school teacher who LOVES teaching. I look forward to going to school every day just to see what the kids will do that day. I teach health care careers on the high school level. I am also a registered X Ray tech. I love working with the patients as well. I am not much on sweets but I can eat my weight in chips. Bugles, and Cheeto Puffs are my favorite, love t shirts wear a M. I don't use gift cards if I get them I always give them to my nephews or sister or brother they love them. I am OLD 54 years old but still very active I have to be teaching my little darlings. Almost forgot my dogs I have a Mt Cur name Sam and an Aussie names Roper | |

Location: Down South | Hello, my name is Lisa and I am from Mississippi. I am 47 years old with no kids living at home anymore. Oldest daughter is married and my youngest is in grad school at Mississippi State. Last year was the 2nd time I participated in Secret Santa, but the first time I actually received any gifts. The first time I participated (several years ago and it may have been called something different then) my buddy never sent anything. I was disappointed, but I truly enjoyed buying for her and I hope she enjoyed what I sent. Last year I was blessed in both giving and receiving. I really enjoy buying items for others.!!
I live in the country and currently only have 2 horses. A 35 year old quarter horse mare and my main man Turbo, an 11 year old appendix bred quarter horse. I hope in the spring to have a project to start slow that is 4-5 years old.
I'm sure I will be listing pretty much the same things as I did last year.!! Here are a few items....
Hoodie sweatshirts and long sleeve t shirts (size medium), especially those from a different area in which I live. Something unique that nobody else around here will be wearing.
Jewelry: I love unique jewelry in silvertone. My ears are pierced. I saw a picture on FB just yesterday of a pair of earrings someone had bought that were made from a horse-shoe nail and had their named stamped on it. LOVED IT.!!
Gourmet coffee: whole ground coffee beans either flavored or unflavored. I love a good cup of coffee in a LARGE coffee mug prepared from freshly ground beans.
These are a few things that come to mind. Of course, anything horse related: grooming supplies, rope halter, fly spray. I'm not picky at all and will be happy to receive anything.

| I had so much fun last year putting together a gift, and I've got some great ideas already for this year.I'm 26 years old and recently married to the love of my life. We are in the process of renovating our barn and decorating our house (finally!). We downsized this year and sold all the broodmares and only have my gelding, 2 fillies and recently, a mini horse that was rescued out of a kill pen. I am really not a picky person at all and always enjoy getting things i can use like halters, lead ropes, brushes, hay bags, etc.
What is something you really want, but would not buy for yourself? A new muletape halter! I had one but someone stole mine at BBR finals this year.-
Would you prefer a gift that was horse-related or not? Or a mix? I am not picky! I would be happy to be anything, but I do love spoiling my horses.-
3 specific items that you would love to receive: Fleece cooler, PHT poll pack, and socks!
- Favorite colors: Black and white-
Horse names, colors, sizes, etc.
Pete is my barrel horse, wears a 78" blanket, and I'm boring and just use black and white on him as well as the others.Savvy is my 2 year old palomono Chasin Firewater filly and Stella is my 3 year old filly that just went into training. We also have the world's cutest mini named Albert.-
Information regarding your other pets.
Lizzy is my 6 year old mini Aussie mix. She's my buddy and goes everywhere with me. We have several barn cats too.

Location: Wyoming | I love secret Santa! I live in a very small town and never get off the ranch so shopping for my pal is so fun.
I have many horses and my two personal horses died within 10 weeks of each other and I was heartbroken. I now have picked out from the herd a 4 year old filly who I hope will be awesome. I would love a nice halter for her and I always can use lead ropes. My hobby is photography so I'm constantly in need of picture frames. I would also enjoy reading the book 411 The Misding. Really I am very easy to please I have received so many great things in years past. My barn colors are lime green and black. My horses are Fancy Turbo and BJ

| I am excited to participate again! This is my second time participating. I participated under a different account several years ago. I am sophomore in college majoring in business with an emphasis in real estate. - What is something you really want, but would not buy for yourself? I would like to try a PHT poll pac. My mare gets "out" in her poll I would love to see if the poll pac would relieve some tension. - Would you prefer a gift that was horse-related or not? I always love and appreciate any horse goodies but also love clothes and large blingy western jewelry. - 3 specific items that you would love to recieve: I strictly run in polos and love to change up colors and patterns. I'll use any brand but prefer CE and PC brand. I also love western headbands. The more eye catching the better. A pair of of winter riding gloves that grip well would is also a great idea. - Favorite color: Anything bright, turquoise, purple, hot pink, lime green etc. - Horse names, colors, sizes, etc: I have two horses I own Cinderella (buckskin mare) who is my barrel horse and Mango (red dun mare) who is Cinderella's "minion" aka pasture pet. Cinderella lives up to her name and loves any goodies to make her life nicer such as treats, grooming products, sore no more or lameaway, brushes, etc. - Information regarding your other pets I have a small female papillon Kami. I am also a crazy cat lady without a cat :( - Other I love dark chocolate

| For some reason, I can't find my post, whoops!
Let's see, my real name is Nicole, and I'm 23. I don't have any 2 legged children, but I consider my dogs and horses my kids! I wear a size small in most shirts, and I love fuzzy socks! I live in Northern Indiana, so the winter is awful here, I tend to like to hibernate!
Something I really want that I wouldn't buy for myself? I honestly have no idea- I love the new Classic Equine lip polo wraps, I'm trying to tell myself I don't need anymore, hahaha. I've wanted to try one of the horse-hydrators to see if that would help me picky drinker on the road!
I could go either way, a mix or more horse realted! My ponies and pups are spoiled- so I always love getting stuff for them!
I like bright colors- usually hot pink, turquoise, orange.. The brighter the better really!
Horses- First off I have Nuttin, a pretty 9 year old Palomino gelding that's finished. His tack is turquoise, but I use a variety of colors for polo wraps and bell boots! My other gelding is Sid, a 6 year old chestnut, his tack is orange. I only use classic equine polo wraps and bell boots (large)- Neither of my boys are fans of boots in any way shape or form. They both love to play and are totlaly spoiled rotten. Everyone that knows me always comments on just how spoiled they are- daily cookies just because they're cute.. You know, lol. I only ever use the braided muletape halters on them, because Sid periodically pulls back and I hate the thought of the metal on a nylon halter breaking- so I just avoid!
I also have 2 little weiner dogs- a 13lb short haired dapple boy named Booger(he has a pink spot on his nose that looks like one!) and a 17lbs long haired red boy named Twister. They both love murdering all things squeaker, nd are constantly bringing toys into bed with them! Which in turns freaks me out in the middle of the night when my foot hits one of the toys.
I was able to partipate in this last year and it was awesome! I'm excited to ge to play again this year. I'l be happy with anything!

| I just realized I never responded to this thread!
I'm Jennifer, I currently have 6 horses (Finn, Cash, Tuff, Lexi, Bella and Dixie), 4 dogs, some cats and a goat. Honestly, I mostly trail ride but I really really want to start competing in something!
My favorite colors are turquoise, green, blue and neon colors. I am a HUGE Cleveland Indians fan (baseball) and watch every game. I love to read and am always looking for a new interesting book. I mostly read fiction books on my Kindle. I love to workout and am always looking for cute things to wear. I am a size small usually.
For horse stuff, I can never have enough halters (I use rope or mule tape), bell boots (size large), or things for organizing my trailer. One thing I would like but haven't convinced myself I need is a personalized halter/bronc noseband for my horse, Finn.
I would honestly be happy with just about anything - all horse, no horse, or a mixture of things is fine with me!

Am I really the Weirdo?

Location: Kansas | OK I am a slacker - I signed up before the 10/18 deadline but did not make a post with info about me. I'm 32, in my first year teaching high school English in a small school located in Northeast Kansas. I've got four barrel horses. Joker, the bay, is 22 and I just got him moved to my new place last weekend. He's being legged up for a few winter jackpots in small pens. I brought Chance, the gray, and Clifford, my blaze faced sorrel, with me when I moved in August as they are my two rodeo horses. I picked up Streak, a former BHW rescue horse, from my parents' place in early October and am hoping he can hang on to be the NBHA district 4D champion this year, then figure out the first barrel and move up to the 3D and beyond. My roommate here is Tuffy, my almost 7-year-old mini Aussie. He's a total sweetheart and loves Marro Bones, potato oles from Taco Johns, and most types of jerky sticks. My dog might be a tad spoiled.
Things I have been eyeing lately include Professionals Choice red glitter bell boots for Chance, any type of horse treats because my monsters are all spoiled rotten, and any movie about horses. My movie collection is really small so I end up watching Reba episodes or Adam Sandler movies all the time. My horses all wear large bell boots, and my collection already includes turquoise glitter, pink glitter, solid turquoise, green and white bell boots.
My favorite colors include red & turquoise, and I am always looking for brain teaser puzzles that my students can do when they have a few extra minutes. I've got 3 foam puzzles that you put into a cube and those fascinate everyone from 7th grade to high school seniors.
I don't have a preference on horse-related or not when it comes to gifts. I'm looking forward to shopping for a board buddy again this year and hope we all have a great time with the exchange!
