Location: Buffalo, TX | I have been hoarding ammo for a couple of years, but I go through a lot of it anyway, now I'm buying even more....luckily, I just bought an Armalite 18" AR15 3 gun rifle before Christmas, plus another Mossberg. I think the next way they will limit us is going after the ammo somehow...if Hilary gets elected, you better have some unregistered guns and ammo well hidden, I fear...

I love to shoot competition with my .22, but the ammo is so hard to get now I haven't done it much. I don't get why the .22 is so hard to find. I used to walk in and buy a brick and now you can't even find it. If you do find some for sale you better grab it or it's gone.

Location: Buffalo, TX | Stitch4k9 - 2016-01-05 9:51 PM cruise - 2016-01-05 7:38 PM The gunman at Sandy Hook stole guns that were purchased legally by his mother. How would what the potus spewing prevent something like that from happening again? Maybe the mental health issues he spoke about. Sometimes listening to the entire speach is helpful.
According to family and friends the Mother of the Sandy Hook killer had tried to get him more help. But as a young adult there are not a lot of services available.
And it was obvious that the theatre killer in CO was mentally ill. Another one that could have been stopped by mental health services. The latest CO killer that targeted Planned Parenthood had some pretty obvious issues. Had his ex wife, who he beat spoke up years ago that one may have been stopped as well.
I suspect you missed the part about having the technology in place for finger print locks. To help keep 3, 4, 5 year olds from accidentally killing someone. To lower the suicide rate in this country. And there was a whole lot more.
But listening to the entire speech would have also led to the FACT that the President defended the the Second Ammendmant.

A responsible gun owner keeps their weapons in a big gun safe with a weird combination that the kids do not have access to. Yes, the Sandy Hook kid needed intervention, but the mom knew he was disturbed and still didn't take safe enough measures to keep him from accessing her guns, and she paid the ultimate price, so sad...

We found a brick this weekend for 26.99! Limit one unfortunately, but you bet we snatched it up!

I only shoot 9mm or .223 and 00 buck, slugs, and #6 or 7.5 shotgun, so my ammo is easy to get...so far!... I hoard Blazer 115 brass for the Glocks, and buy in 1000 round bulk when it's on sale online....I don't want to say how much I have on hand, it might scare the weak hearted.., but yes, I'm nervous about it getting real expensive again and scarce.

Obama wants to add a tax of up to a nickel per bullet..
As far as the mental health deal...When my husband first went on the police force, there were quite a few mental hospitals and if a person had mental problems, the police took them there instead of jail. You can thank the liberals for changing that. Many liberal ideas are coming back to bite us all.

There is already talk in California to require ammo buyers to register every box they purchase in a state data base.

Ah yes, California. The great laboratory for socialist experiments for the rest of the U.S., with Governor Moonbeam being the chief social scientist.
Meanwhile, here in Texas, the majority of Californians leaving that state like rats leaving a sinking ship, are re-settling here. I'm guessing most of them are more conservative citizens longing for a place to live where conservatives are not becoming extinct. I also think a significant number of bleeding heart liberal socialists are, unfortunately, also infiltrating the state, choosing a few bastions of liberalism. I have seen evidence of these vermin in Austin. Being the hypocrites that they are, I'm sure they reluctantly admit, at least to themselves, that living in a state without income tax is......well....shall we say, "liberating"?

I actually took a reloading class but all I need is one more thing to do...LOL...so I pay. Sadly, the ranges I go to don't allow reloads, and we do all of our league and defensive shooting with range officials (inside or outside) and they check all of our ammo ahead of time. Maybe someday I'll have to though, if things go south.

Location: In the Hills of Texas | Just remember...Obama says one thing and does another...You can keep your doctor if you like your doctor. Your premiums will go down an average of $2500. per family. It is written deep in the Healthcare debacle about guns and gun ownership and it will becoming into effect and it's not going to be pretty.
Obama is letting out criminals early and they have not been enforcing gun laws that are on the books. It seems most things are slanted toward the criminal and sure doesn't do much for the victim.

Reloading is a pain. We bought a reloader and had all these big plans to use it.... I think we've used it twice? Maybe? Time is money, and reloading takes A LOT of it. But, we have it in case we NEED it. lol

Bottom line is that this president is in over his head. He has been ever since he took the oath. He is preoccupied with moving the country sharply to the left. If that means tearing the country down from within, in order to advance his agenda of a socialist utopia, that's what he'll do. The irony and hypocrisy of all of this is that he will quickly become one of the wealthiest people in the country, as a result, once he leaves office. The world will be his oyster, and he will quickly accumulate massive wealth with his mouth, just like AlGore and the Clintons. His minions will be oblivious to his obscene hypocrisy and worship him like a God.
When he first came on the scene my momma said that something about him made her wonder about the antichrist. . . . .

I like technology just as much as the next person, just not when it comes to firearms. What if there is a software glitch and I can't fire the gun when in a dire situation? Not a good idea....

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I was watching the news reports about how our troops were surrounded by Taliban in Afghanistan and how they had to be evacuated yesterday. It's sad how we drove the Taliban out back in 2002, and now they are back, taking the country over again. I realize it's not a completely similar scenario, but for some reason it brought back images from Saigon in 1975, with our remaining troops being hurriedly evacuated from the U.S. Embassy rooftop by Huey's.
That was one of the low points in American history, as our national pride was at an all time low. Yesterday's events reminded me of that.
I can't imagine how our troops and brave vets feel.
