I learned so much from so many of you and it helped me to feel connected even when I was working long days away from my home and horses. Thank you all for that!
I miss how we were all compadres back then and not tearing each other down. I'm sick of the agendas and meanness I see here on a daily basis now. I feel as though a few bad apples are ruining things for everyone else. I think it's time we staged a coup and get our board back to being a helpful, friendly place with great advice and LOTS of laughs!

Location: sunny california | When did this site actually start? I got confused when someone said mass migration. was that from Horse City? I am talking about before then. When i started this site looked way different. then one day when you tried to go to the site it redirected you to this and you had to re-log on so to speak.I could not remember my password and was busy building a house so just let it go for a while. the house was done being built Feb 2003. i know I joined at the old house around june/july because I remember posting about the time a new shoer came and lamed my horse really bad. I missed a very important race because of it.
I remember Sheridan, and Ronn he sold rice bran oil and started the sock puppets thread. I think that was when it was the old format. I also remember SG's pickle

| Apparently, I joined in 2008. So, I haven't been a member since the beginning. However, I've been lurking since pretty much the beginning. I had my start on Horse City shortly after the migration. We were not allowed to even mention BHW over there for a while after. Threads would be locked/removed, members banned. Crazy.
I've noticed a trend here, as others have. I haven't been posting or even checking in like I used to.
ETA: Wow, after a second look at my join date I realize that today marks my 8th year here, exactly. Holy cow

| What I miss the most is how we would disagree but get over it. You didn't have people purposely trolling threads just to cause drama. The ones that did try were quickly shown a no tolerance policy. Location: Oklahoma | I looked at my join date... 5/23/2006. I've been over here for 10 years... many of the original members were here when I had my first daughter, my divorce, etc... I consider them family and friends. Not only that, I've learned so much from their knowledge. I'm ready to take this board back over. The negativity and petty BS and a few certain members need to either be banned or put on a restriction. Seeing how many personal attacks there are on here at any given time makes it seem like grown ups are teenagers who are hiding behind their keyboards. It's time to pull your big girl panties up and deal with it. |
