I spent 5 years of my life spending God knows how much trying different make-up and SPF combos (I'm 34 now, oily skin).   I cannot live without:  Elta MD UV clear sunscreen, Retin-A (you can get this at the Dermatoligst via perscription, your health insurance may pay for it.  Awesome for wrinkles and age spots)
Foundation:  Este Lauder Double Wear Corrective.  I take a dab of this and mix it with suncreen, then dab some Neutrogena mineral sheers pressed powder over.   The Estee Lauder will last a year- little bit goes a LONG way.  And it will STAY- swimming/sweating/anything.

I use the Rodan and Fields mineral peptides. It's a light coverage that is not water soluble so it does not sweat off and does not settle into fine lines. It has a 20 SPF.

Physician's Formula CC and SPF 30 powder in one thingy. It does all things in one, which I love. $12 and change at Wally World.

This is the best ever primer: http://heiratelier.com/makeupprep.html
It has a serum and moisturizer and lays down a foundation for your make-up. Speeds up the process and your skin looks great.

turtleaut - 2016-09-01 5:59 AM I just tried the new Loreal Infallible Pro Glow - Usually I just wear a tinted moisturizer but when I want to look a little more presentable I really like it.  A little goes along way in coverage.

LOVE this stuff.  Not even that dewy and lasts all day.  This is my favorite drugstore foundation.

If you are using a water based foundation that doesn't contain silicone, the Nivea sensitive skin men's shaving balm in the white glass bottle is a great primer that helps your foundation stay on.

Make sure you use a primer so it doesnt sink into your pores. No matter what foundation you use, you should use a primer.

I use a primer and my powder foundation still "finds" my lines unfortunately! I use Bare Minerals and really like it.

Try NYX products from Ulta. They are at a low price point but a very nice quality. They do not test on animals either, which I love. What kind of coverage do you prefer? Light, medium/full?

From walmart I have used Loreal Paris Infallible Pro Matte foundation and liked it. It has staying power. I was also a fan of Neutrogena Healthy Skin.

Now I buy higher end cruelty free makeup (Mostly from Ulta). It is not all expensive. Check them out online.

I do like Bare Minerals (be sure to buy a primer to put on before your foundation. It makes it last longer and go on smoother) A finishing spray can also prolong wear. You can buy these in all different price points.
I currently use Born This Way foundation by Too Faced. Its $38 but the quality is very nice. Annd I make it last a while.

For those of you looking to Contour.. I am adding link to a cheaper contour palette from ulta that you can try to get you started. I have it and am impressed with the quality/price. Im also adding a link to a video to show you how to do it.

Does BM make a primer to go with their mineral foundation?

I used to have HUGE ugly pores had for years... tried every kind of skin care product out there.. went to a derma.. tired all methods... and pore reducers.
I FINALLY am noticing smaller pores after starting Rodan and Fields skin care
I use Mary Kay BB Cream as it is light and hides my pores I top it off with Mary Kay loose powder
If you don't care for your Mary kay get with your rep and discuss your concerns they will help you find what works for you.

After YEARS of using Bare Minerals, I actually switched to Cover Girl and like it WAY more and it's WAY less expensive. I use the stuff that comes in a compact that is mixed with Oil of Olay. I actually got compliments when I switched. I think high-end make up is WAY over-rated. There are a FEW things on the high end side I use - like a primer from Smashbox but mostly I have switched to the el-cheapo products!

Clnique!!! I have tried every dang thing under the sun(except the R&F) and Clinique is still the only moisturizer/ cleaner / primer I use. I have used the Younique....its very heavy and definitely covers, but too expensive for this girl. The mascara was great when it first came out but they have changed the formula and it does not wear the same.I LOVE their liners and shadows.

I've used Clinique for 13 years and love it. I thought I'd change things up and try Younique (I liked it but didn't love it) so I'm back to using Clinique. I have very sensitive skin so good quality makeup is a must for me. I also think a primer is important.

What kind of Clinique do you use? I had some Clinique one time but I don't remember what kind it was but I didn't love it. Of course the girl that helped me buy it put it on me and it looked good but when I got home I realized it was because she used it like icing on a cake lol so it didn't look as good when I did it.

Depends if I want thick coverage or light coverage. Superbalanced for lighter cov. And Beyond Perfecting for thick cov. :)

The beyond perfecting did not sit pretty on my skin.  I really like the acne solutions BB cream.  It has great coverage for a BB and stays on all day AND controls oil.

Yes they do :) see link below. They also have a liquid version of their foundation if youd prefer that over the loose mineral foundation.

If you like some things about Mary Kay try adding the foundation primer underneath the foundation. It prevents your makeup from sinking in your pores and wrinkles. I like the cream to powder foundation over the liquid
