| Please know that your son is in my thoughts and prayers as well as you and your family. I can't imagine the pain you are feeling. As someone said St. Judes I am from Memphis and that place is amazing and probably the best thing about Memphis, I have friends and family that work or have worked there you will not meet better people they're so supportive. Again my prayers are with you and nothing but positive thoughts. |

| We didn't get to go home tonight because he keeps getting fevers and they'd like to monitor him, which I agree with. He's starting to eat a bit more and asked for chips n salsa. My boy is starting to come back lol! The color in his face is returning as well. We are hoping to get him home tomorrow for the rest of the weekend before we begin treatment next week. My goal is to get him stronger before we begin the next step. Thank ya'll so much for the prayers they mean so much to us. God Bless |

Thank you. The coming days are going to be unlike anything we've gone thru and I'm honestly scared to death but I'm staying positive and a smile on my face for my son and my other kids. It's hard to do but I know it helps them. I cry when I'm by myself or with my husband. |

I hope you have a good support system of friends and family.Β You sure will need it.Β HUGSΒ
The outpouring of love, prayers and support from our community, family and friends has been amazing. He's pretty heavily sedated from surgery so he's doing a lot of sleeping. I'm thankful for his team of Dr's here and the Dr's in the er who were thorough enough to spot the mass... had I not brought him in for his fall we wouldn't have found out. He showed no symptoms of having a tumor or let alone cancer. My world completely turned upside yesterday and the emotions I'm dealing with are indescribable, thank God my husband is here with us, he's been my rock thru this. I just pray that this cancer is favorable because if it is, there's a 85-90% cure rate with very light chemo. If it's unfavorable, he will need more invasive treatment. I want my son to be ok, I want to take his place he doesn't deserve this
I'm so sorry to hear this. I can't even imagine the shock.
For what it's worth, if this is the commonest type of kidney malignancy in kids (?Wilm's Tumor), there has been amazing progress in cure rates over the past 20 years with aggressive treatment. This is really one of those areas where there has been amazing advances, so keep your chin up and we'll keep you and your boy in our prayers.

Thank you this gives me more hope. I know a lot of people have suggested taking him to other cancer centers. We obviously want what's best for him and the best THE BEST possible care and treatments. Looking like we will be having our meeting next Thursday to discuss the biopsy report and a plan of attack. My sister in law has worked for Scott n white for several several years and she knows each dr and plenty of nurses.. she's assuring us we are in the right place. Apparently these Dr's have access to all the other cancer center Dr's and consult quite often with one another on cases like this. These are the questions I'll be asking when we meet. I'd love to keep him close by so he can be with his family and friends. We live in a very small town and our whole town is praying for him. He will be doing home school as well and one of the teachers from our school will be coming over a few times a week to keep him on track till we get thru this. Thank you guys for the prayers and thoughts, they help. God bless |

| Sending many, many prayers your way. I totally believe in the power of prayers! My family and friends will be praying for your family and your precious little Jacob. Psalm 22:19 But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength, come quickly to help me. |
