The best bad guy on the internet

Location: Arizona | Sounds like everyone is doing the best they can considering the current situation. I'm in AZ and work in commercial construction. We are still working and still very busy, construction doesn't every stop. I currently come to our office. There are 7 of us here working (full staff, lol) and our field crews. We are working on the option of working from home. I am the only PM for the company and we currently have about 45 ongoing projects. As long as the City Inspectors are still working, we are too. My daugher's company has shut down, she's home without pay and she's 5 months pregnant. It's a bit stressful. Like everyone else, restaurants, movies, gym, schools, shopping malls, bars, are all closed. The grocery stores are slowly getting back their stock. I'm yet to find a pack of TP. I've been riding alot in between our crazy rain storms, going out in our jeep, etc..trying to stay away from people!! I sure hope this ends soon!! Stay safe friends! |

Location: Displaced Iowegian | LOL .... After living in western Kansas (years ago and miles from the nearest "big" grocery), I got in the habit of buying for the month so I have lots of gorceries, etc. stockpiled. We are retired so we don't "have" to be out and about ...... unless hubby dirves me crazy...LOL The VA is taking this seriously. John had a Dermatology check-up appt. for March 25th that I cancelled last week. They re-scheduled it for April 6th. I tried to get them to put it out further down the line....Now, today, they called and told me that due to the virus, etc, we had to re-schedule. It is now May13th .... hopefully, all will be under control by then! |

Location: My happy place | I spent a lot of time this week with my grandkids 12 & almost 16. Monday we had conversations about the virus, their parents thought media hype to on Sunday. They came home from work all concerned about it, telling the kids. The kids knew more about it than they did. They are not scared and realize just how lucky they are that we live where we live. Lots of land to play on no neighbors close and many toys to play with. I feel so sorry for those that live paycheck to paycheck but they will learn a valuable lesson on saving and being prepared. I think city people will have a lot of problems with staying home. I find it interesting to see what companies and organizations are stepping up to help. I am shocked the 2 biggest (really big) churches have been very silent since last Sunday when they were all mad on the news because they didn't want them to have church. They did finally cancel. Also don't think it will hurt for families to spend more time together. IMO some kids today don't want for much and could use a little family time. I'm not speaking of people on here that live on farms and make kids work. I love some of the things I see on FB like 2 kids in detention and the Teacher is Drinking. And the Mother that says to the teacher ...... Little Jimmy would never do that |

Location: My happy place | I don't know who put the HIPPA law into effect but it's a good thing they did. People are really mad about others who won't stay home even if positive because they feel fine. They are telling where the positive people worked around here bunch of crafty ladies not happy with Hobby Lobby. |

One is the egg section.....completely empty Another is paper products......completely empty Another is frozen veggies.....completely empty This is what it's like in Bernie Sander's America....or Venezuela.

Captins log Day 8: Life in lululand is desolate... only this guy on the couch that says he is Mr Whit... idk... he seems nice. The dog loves me. Got the mare stare when i started brushing... got a hiked back leg when i tried to swing up the saddle... She changed her attitude after a little talk. Still having to report to work. Must not disrupt the food chain. Still trying to convince the man in the big chair we could lock the door and only have to deal with them over the phone. Chair Man says that all the missed innoculations and the farming sec are already vaccinated for CV. Lulu has the weekend off with no where to go.... the list is long. the guy on the couch is hiding. Captian.... out

I am sure it is because they are trying to test more ..... However, I can't get a number on tests performed.....the surprise is though that they had been testing and the first positive case was on the 11th and now by the 20th (9 days), it has been updated to 100 ..... Also, surprising was that of those cases, 8 were children, only 26 were over 65 and the rest fell in the 19-64 range. I would suppose that now they have the infection in 3 of the nursing homes, we may experience some deaths. |

Yes, and that's why the death rate has been dropping....from about 2.4% to 1.2% in a few days. That doesn't mean we are getting better results. It just means we are getting more cases reported. When the dust has settled, we may end up looking at a mortality rate of less than 0.5%. We'll see more deaths, but much more in terms of reported numbers of cases.

| Today I got a reality punch in the face regarding the corona virus. Yes I know it's serious. I haven't been out of my house for almost 2 weeks. So I havent seen much on the outside world. We got on the wal mart order on line & pick up outside the store thing now. But today I ventured out with bob to go get sawdust for the horses. On the way home we stopped at a walmart in checotah to see if things were different than in mcalester . OMG !!!! Shelves were bare, no bread, no meat " thank God we have our own beef" I needed coffee filters & there were none :( I was hurrying down isles cause I just wanted out of there. So seeing all this was a reality check. This is seriously for real & anyone who has the stupid attitude that it's not real, they are young so they won't get it or the real idiots who think they are invinsable. Those people need to be locked up. Tomorrow is our wal mart pick up so I will do that & run into brawms & get milk, etc. I never thought I'd ever do this but we have masks & I will be wearing one. I have c.o.p.d. & it's nothing to sneeze at. Bob has been great with picking up things on his way home from work. I felt today I just needed to get out. Stress is getting to me. But after what I saw today, I am happy to hunker down in my little home with my husband, our horses & our cats. God Bless our country & our wonderful president who is doing the best he can in a horrible situation. Oh & lets think of this. Why in Gods name would anyone want to do any buisness with china ? That country sucks & they are resopnsable for this mess & I say ban everything we do with china. Bring it all back to America & if companies won't do that, I say kick their ass's out of our country & they can go live in china with those sick people. Be safe. God Bless America

I'm a lifelong reader--if I can get my hands on it, I read it. Read constantly. So I'm thinking of saving my QT Horse News mags at least . Although I will say we haven't had too much trouble getting TP or PT lately. Fresh meat not so much. . . . (Still wouldn't have minded seeing THAT grocery cart in the 50% off isle tho!!!) |
