I wonder how SBL would cross on a TB mare. Hmmm.
I'll let you know in 2022 when the foal is born! We've been super impressed with our TB mare's QH foals thus far- they've all been by Playgun studs, but she's currently in foal to Jesses Topaz with a FGG embryo for 2021.
My two TBs are built like QHs and won at the 4,5 and 91/2 furlong. My one mare is an older (18years) stakes winner. My 15 yeaar old never won a stakes race but earned over 100k. Im really impressed by the pioneer of the Nile lines. I am breeding my 3rd TB to an own son by him and I'm really contemplating breeding a QH by him. Its too bad Pioneer of the Nile passed away. I think he could have been another great QH outcross but after Pharoah took home the TC his stud fee went up to 150,000 instead of his 10,000.
Your mares sound super nice!! What Pioneerof The Nile son are you breeding to? I am a huge Empire Maker fan, and I really liked Pioneerof The Nile as well. Did you see where Into Mischief is offering a $10k stud fee to QH mares, compared to his $175k thoroughbred fee? Now we just need to find the perfect QH to breed to him!! |

His name is Social Inclusion. I did not here about Into Mischiefs qh discount. Social Inclusion stud fee is only $5000 to either TB or QH. Since I'm having two mares bred to him (TB and a QH) mare I'm getting a bit of a break on top of an already cheap stud fee. When it comes to crossing TBxQH I have a mental checklist my qh mares must have. Mind, mind, mind Thick legs and good solid feet Shorter back And they must be running blood. If they are old school run blood it's a super bonus. |

Personally I like Mitole over Into Mischief if I was going to those two Spendthift studs. And he's more affordable at $4k for QH mares. |

I am a bigger fan of Mitole as well, but he has zero foals out there whereas Into Mischief has a fantastic sire record (which obviously you're paying more for). IM just had Authentic win the Kentucky Derby. |

I will have to look him up! I agree wholeheartedly with your criteria- we were pretty blessed with our Big Brown daughter, she's definitely the whole package (at least in our mind)! Her oldest foal is a 2yo in training and we are very impressed with the three she's had thus far. |

I really want to breed my Blushing Bug daughter to Sue Karges Hankerelse. She's got him running well and he has a super disposition. My mare is out of a good Fire Water Flit daughter. I like the double shot of Slash J Harletta.
Thanks so much! |

Does anyone have any input on Dashin Dynamo get? I have seen a couple yearlings out of cow bred mares that look really nice but no idea on disposition, etc.
We have a yearling and a weanling by DD out of our daughter of Letta Hank Do It, her mother by Shawne Bug. Both fillies are outstanding conformation wise, and I have to say two of the most good minded we have raised to date. They really want to please and work with you. Quick learners, and my favorite thing - very clean in their pens! Always poop in the same place lol! |

I personally really like the looks of Makin Ya Famous, JL Dash Ta Heaven, Famous Bugs, and Be A Magnolia Runner.
Be A Magnolia Runner has a very reasonable stud fee, and his babies have been doing really good. He is an outcross which I love pairing to a horse with more "modern" lines. He also has a small crop on the ground compared to SBD and ASNY, but the babies he has on the ground have been killing it lately. I believe he had 2 babies this past week or so set arena records and one of them was running a 16.8 on a standard? Nevertheless, I would look into him!
I bred my mare to Famous Bugs this year and Jeff was great to work with! I personally feel like Famous Bugs gets overlooked but he has produced some NICE barrel horses. I talked to several people who have owned/ridden them before sending in my contract and every single person raved about them and how they have great minds. That sold it for me. He's 19 this year so who know how much longer he will be around. Side note - speaking of Be A Magnolia Runner, I just saw where is now enrolled in Ruby Buckle! |

I'm now really considering On A Gator over Feel the Sting. Gator isn't getting any younger and his stud fee is definitely affordable.
Ima Boy Gator (on a gator x Judge Cash mare) has been on fire this year in northwest at the futurities. |

| I have him in mind for my BJO mare. However, I'm worried about the cross. She is only 14.2 and super wide. Wondering if it would be a good fit. |

Breeding to our stud! Yay! We had two from his last year. And we are breeding his momma back to Bullseye Bullion (she lost her foal this year). And we are breeding another of our mares to BHR Frenchies Socks. |
