Ok, thanks! I am wanting to get away from Lone Star feeds but it is frustrating when the feed store is always out of Bluebonnet. My racehorses get Woodys and I love it, feed store always has it because a lot of the TB guys use it. I am really suprised how many trainers use the Lone Star feed even though it is not from a "clean" mill, especially when horses from thier program bring 1.1 million in a sale. Makes me feel silly for being picky about the mill when mine are worth a fraction of that amount.
Could you put in a order at your feed store for the amount of feed that you want? Thats good that they sell it fast, means its always fresh feed. I would ask about putting in a order so that way you get it when you need it.
You can also do an autoship from chewys.. I know we are all mad at them right now lol. But it is an option if needed for consistency. They carry pretty much all of the BB feeds and stride supplements.
I did decide to put my daughter's horse on the BB omega force after we found out about the white line issue with his feet .. I figured now wasn't the time to try to be more frugal with feed. He needs high quality nutrition, right now especially. I know I can count on that from this particular feed for him.
