As to your eyebrows, trim them yourself....or do like me - let them grow wild for a while. That's what I do. I look like an owl.

that made me chuckle. I went ahead and emailed the lady telling her I needed to reschedule. I offered to pay for my appointment in full and come at a later date, so it doesn't take money out of her pocket.

I dont get this, the citys have been pretty much shut down, no events allowed for safty no large get togethers, But why are the Cruise Ships still allowed to operate, allow to sail with hundreds of people on board? Now they have 2 that are docking in Florida with hundreds of sick people that are testing positive for coronavirus and some have died, the Gov did allowed the ships to dock, now Florida has to deal with all this, just dont make sense as to why they are still allowing cruse ships to sail. And WHY would anybody want to be on a cruise ship with all this horrible happenings, people just dont have any common sense.
I haven’t done any research on it, but when did those cruise ships leave? Hasn't it been about 2-3 weeks since Trump asked the cruise lines to shut down?
Have they been on the ships this whole time?
I just don't understand how there is anyone on a cruise ship anywhere right now.
Regarding those two cruise ships -- from what I've read, the folks boarded them in South America in early March for a 2 - 3 week cruise -- so they left on the cruise when things first started to perculate. Husband and I had booked an Alaska cruise for the first week of June, but we canceled it back in early February when we first heard about this virus -- and it being in Seattle. We decided we did not want to fly into Seattle -- and I think the fact I read Stephen King's incredible book The Stand years ago, made me extra cautious. We're living that book.....ugh.

I went back and found some info.. Unable to find a port willing to accept it, the ship has been stuck in a holding pattern for nearley two weeks as it desperately gos from country to country. Had been rejected by Chile, Peru and Argentina.1,400 passengers on board these two ships I think. More then 300 Americans are aboard the ships including 49 Florida residents. What a nightmare for all these poor people.

Agree! Imagine being stuck in a very tiny cabin for weeks.... two people have to have a strategy to move around in those little rooms. It had taken me years to convince my husband to take an Alaskan cruise -- and now, this mess. He said he will NEVER ever cruise now. Fortunately, we traveled world-wide a great deal with our careers and vacationing prior to retirement, so at least we did get to mark off most of our bucket list! LOL! We are thankful we decided to retire here on our farm -- built us a nice farm house, shop and barn and here we are -- riding it out. As others have mentioned -- cannot imagine being stuck inside in a large city or surburban area. I am a high-risk person due to severe chronie asthma and being 64 -- I've not set foot off the place in over three weeks. We are thankful for Home Chef deliveries, Sam's Club deliveries and Amazon! :)

Adam Schiff is already working on organizing a commission to investigate the virus response from the WH. If there is actually a lower than lower than a snake's belly, this guy is it.
What a loser. I say let him do it. Every time they pull stunts like that, Trump's approval goes up. Meanwhile his party's candidate is locked up in a dungeon. He hasn't made a remotely helpful suggestion since this started...other than his being against the xenophobic travel bans. Uffda
Do you,all have a problem with the 911 commission? This pandemic has already caused human and economic devastation that dwarfs 911. If even the most optimistic modeling comes true 911 will barely be a blip on the radar. It would be extremely negligent of any and all government officials to not try to figure out why the richest country in the world is having results befitting a third world country. If nothing is learned from this horrific situation future generations are doomed to repeat it. I really don't care about Trumps Facebook following or TV ratings PEOPLE ARE DYING.

Absolutely, the entire pandemic needs to be looked at by an independent bipartisan commission. It should not be a series of endless congressional hearings that end up being a partisan food fight that end up being an exercise in futility. It should consist of an equal number of congressmen from both parties, as well as epidemiologists, physicians, scientists, etc... It should commence once the pandemic is over and the economic after effects are better established, epidemiological data is complete, as well as efficacy of therapeutics are better clarified. Key items to look at should include: 1.) The actual origin of the virus 2.) The extent to which China concealed the outbreak. 3.) The effect of unrestricted travel to Italy from Wuhan 4.) Chinese propaganda efforts. 5.) The response by the WHO and any inaccuracies or lies in their early statements 6.) The effect of travel bans from China, Europe, and the UK. 7.) The effect of mitigation and social distancing. 8.) The timing of the mitigation and social distancing. 9.) Our decades old woefully inadequate stockpiles of PPE, ventilators, and masks. 10.) The effect of public-private partnerships, and the response of companies in the private sector, particularly with regard to more efficient, more reliable testing. 11.) Our dependence on China for vital medical supplies and life saving medications. 12.) The responsibility of individual states re: readiness and disaster preparation. 13.) The reliability of various models in predicting the incidence of disease during pandemics and predicting outcomes. 14.) The overall performance of the President's Coronavirus Response Team 15.) Evaluations of the FDA, CDC, and DHS 16.) The role of military - hospital ships, building hospitals, and shipping of medical supplies. 17.) The economic devastation. Congress should not be distracted from the immense tasks that lay ahead, apart from those chosen from each party as part of the commission. The 9-11 Commission was not put together until over a year after 9-11. I wouldn't expect this one to begin investigating until next year, for the reasons I mentioned.
That's my opinion. t | |

But all the other over the counter pain meds is ok. I take Advil for my knee and other body aches so just wondering if this is true.

That's a disputed/unsettled matter. My recommendation would be to try switching to Tylenol if you can. Best to hedge on the safe side for now. I've read the accounts that say people on ibuprofen do poorly if they get sick from Covid19. I've read reports that say it hasn't been proven. I'd play it safe, if possible, until we know, one way or another.

Aleve is Naproxen, an NSAID just like Ibuprofen ("Advil" or "Motrin"). I'd try to avoid NSAIDS if possible. Stick to Tylenol, if you can.

Location: Randolph, Utah | It's hitting a little close to home for me now. A guy I work with, his wife has been called to get tested. He's still been coming to work. I thought it was pretty known that if you or anyone around you was sick you should stay home?? Luckily I have almost no interaction with this guy. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but they don't just jump to the COVID-19 test, right. You have to go test negative for flu & strep first, right? So she could of been sick for at least a few days before they decide to do the test? Then it's a week or longer to get the results? I'm sure we've all have, or will come in contact with COVID-19 before this is all over I just don't like the reality of it hitting so close to my small community.

That's how it was for us in the beginning. Not sure if it is still as I've been working on our progressive care "island" training some staff to relieve us. I know our tests are coming back in about 48 hours now. We've had a nurse test positive and she was not running fevers, just had a cough, felt icky, and lost her sense of taste.
