want2chase3 - 2018-02-02 9:11 AM nothome-gone racin - 2018-02-01 11:00 PM want2chase3 - 2018-01-31 9:06 AM Our first night home, when pretty good, he woke up a few times and needed his pain meds, which I was expecting. Other than that, he ate really well and was able to take a shower. His little brother, was the sweetest thing I've seen, wish I could have captured it on camera. They were playing the Playstation in their room and I guess Jacob wanted to go shower so I see Colt (my youngest, he's 6) walking with him and holding his arm and had his other arm around his back to help him walk across the living room to the bathroom. So sweet! Boy, they can fight like crazy but when it comes down to it, they've definitely got eachothers back! Today we are going to see the radiation team to get him fitted for radiation treatments, these Dr's aren't wasting a single second, they want to keep attacking while we are ahead.. while Jacob or myself sure don't feel like going back to the hospital today, we have to! He will have tomorrow to rest and do nothing, Friday we go back to our oncologist for a follow up and possibly another chemo treatment.. we sure have a tough road ahead of us still and we will keep fighting as long as it takes! ImΒ just now reading this,Β I am a 4 year StageΒ 4 fighter.Β He has my prayers - no one should go thru this let alone a child.Β Β Wow.. God Bless you! I loathe cancer... I hate even saying the word. My mom also had uterine cancer 3 months after my father passed away from heart failure, she was diagnosed. She's alive and well today, thank you Lord. But she had to put up a heck of a fight to beat it. I watched her fight for her life daily and now seeing my son go thru this terrible disease is extremely difficult, but he's just doing so well. His hair is just about gone... he doesn't want to shave it. I was combing his hair yesterday after his shower and he was watching in the mirror I told him, you are such a handsome guy, you know that?? He said well, I'm about to be a bald handsome guy mom. Lol! Bless his little heart.
Β Β That sweet boy is "handsome" with or without hair ....but his attitude is what impresses me ....Β a hugeΒ part of beating cancer is "attitude" ..... #JacobStrong !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally second what NJJ said. |

| Sorry for the late update but today was a little nuts! Kids were out of school.brcayse if the youth fair going on. I took Jacob to his first radiation treatment this morning and boy oh boy did he get sick from it :-( about 20 minutes after it, he vomited on our way home and then a few more times in the shower. Poor baby... I gave him his anti nausea pill and that helped a ton then he slept for almost 4 hours this afternoon. We have 6 more treatments of radiation then we are done! I also received very good news today from his surgeon. She informed me that all the additional testing they did when they removed the tumor , they took several lymph nodes and took tissue from around the area and those all came back clear! So wonderful news there for us. She said all the cancer is out of him from a surgery standpoint. We still need to treat with chemo and radiation tho to make sure no cancerous cells are hanging around! |

| Today went much easier! I gave him his Zofran before we left to go to the hospital for his treatment, that seemed to keep the nausea away... so far! Only 5 more to go. |
