Location: Michigan | CYA Ranch - 2013-12-07 12:43 PM hlynn - 2013-12-07 12:39 PM Taylor Jacob has a HECK of a little buckskin horse, & she is a HECK of a rider. If she can calm her nerves & keep them up, she could easily outrun Taylor & possibly Sherry too. I honestly don't think Sherry has really pushed Stingray yet. Those two are tried & true, been there, done that, and won the buckles & saddles to prove it. I don't think anyone can touch her in the standings, & unless she mucks up & knocks, she'll win the average too. I feel so bad for Brittany. I had such high hopes after the first round, but last night just made me cringe. I hope she can bounce back. I know it has to be tough on her, being there without her best horse. I was really proud of Brittney the first night. She did a great job. Last night was tough, he was aiming right for the barrel whether it was her fault or his I'm not sure. She'll get it together again. Wonder if she'll switch to Teddy tonight?
According to her vet's facebook page she will be switching to Teddy. Can't wait to see her work! |

Plus there was a lot of knocked barrels, I don't know how long Sherry will stay at the top, it's luck of the run. I am still hoping Fallon will get win a round or two with her heck of a mare. Had a bit of bad luck tonight. Nope!! Not true!!!! Twisted sister won't catch stingray. Fallon just can't seem to make persistent runs in small arenas on Babyflo.. Sherry is not gonna let any if them catch her!!she is about to pass the $200k mark and Mary Walker is failing. Fallon coasted out of the arena with a 13.70. If she keeps them up she can. But stingray is on FIRE And love Taylor Jacobs horse
My word...Mary Walker is failing?? If that's the case...sign me up..I'll have what she's having... |

Very correct. That mare has a very slight speed change going into and around the barrels, her feet are always moving fast and forward. Just so very excited to watch all of the gals and their horses run leaving the arena safe and sound. |

Location: La Vernia, TX | Taylor Jacob's horse, "Bo" has the same type of manic forward motion and lack of bend that Stingray has. IF that pair can settle, they might make some great runs. Reading through the comments on this thread, I think a few of y'all don't realize that Sherry and Stingray have already won a World Title together, in 2010 when Stingray ran a 13.49 at the T&M (the time it was record breaking). This year, Stingray seems to be really strong physically and in her prime mentally. |

That horse NEVER stops moving. If she can dial her in & ride the tar out of her, those two will be a force to be beat.
And I agree. Sherry and Stingray have been to the big show before, and won it. They're the most experienced, and it has shown so far.
It will be interesting to see the middle rounds. I think the nerves will be the least likely to be crazy then, being as the first few rounds everything is new, & I'm sure everyone gets fired up towards the end, really making that big push. |

| Sherry and Stingray are a force and I am not the least bit shocked they came in hot!!!!!!
I think that there is some capabilities though in that top 15 to make this a real race. I def think that Buckskin Bo has it and if they can keep'em up, they may take the arena record!!!! I think Christy and Movin need to settle in and they could be a competitor!! I also think Babyflo has it too! She did not run home like normal and wasnt too far off the pace but did tip and that plays a factor.
Of course they all have a shot, love some louie and worm... I just cant decide!!! They all win in my book just for being there! |

LOVE watching Sherry and Stingray-they are just "on", perfect runs.
Still support Mary Walker-would love to see her do well and was happy her and Latte had a better run last night. I think Mary will win a few rounds.
Taylor Jacob's horse-holy smokes that horse is wicked fast as well as Fallon and Babyflo.
I think Sherry will come out on top this year-she's right on track anyway. I think she might lose a few go-rounds but not many. As someone else posted, there's still 8 more rounds and anything can happen!

I'm thinking she has auto correct and meant to say "FALLING" behind of Sherry in earnings. |

Location: Home on the Range | RoadToVegas - 2013-12-07 1:08 AM I have heard Fallon tell someone at a barrel race BabyFlo is 14.2. I have seen her several times up close and she is really thin made. Really wiry and narrow made.
According to this week's Barrel Racing Report.....
STINGRAY is 14.2 MOVIN 14.2 MISS JUDGE N ME 14.2 FLO'S HEIRESS 14.3 NICKS NEFERTITI 14.3
Here's to all the "under" 15 Hand barrel horses that have proved time & again you don't need a big horse to win a barrel race! |

| I'm sure a couple will/ CAN out clock her but it doesn't matter being consistent does. A consistently good horse is far more impressive than one who can lay a time down sometimes. GO Sherry! And good luck to all the girls! |

I'm just saying my opinion. Twisted Sister is definitely a mare she should watch. (If they even run her again, which I'm not sure they will, even though she seemed a lot faster than the horse she did run). I think Babyflo will get it figured out, it just might take a couple rounds. And yes, I'm not saying they wouldn't have won this round, I'm just saying a lot can happen. It's still way early to say too much.
if it were at a diffrent areana where they could keep that mare more settled wasting to run I would 1000000% agree with you.
But I don't think that mare will settle and get first quite right in that areana. Not saying she can't clock but it ain't going to be "pretty" but she's freak enfough it could be enfough.
BUT I'm an armchair jockey so don't take what I say to the bookie lmao.
I wish all those girls the best of luck! Great horses and talented ladies |
