I've had some lead rope eaters too, but those big rubber ties solved the problem. My riding area is two acres and my two year old filly takes my poles down. I find them scattered all over the 2 acres

Fly LOVES drinking water when we're somewhere -- slurps it, slops it around the bucket, then when she's done, holds a mouthfull in her mouth for 30 seconds or so. If I'm not careful she'll dump that mouthful all over me
Always entertaining.
Mine does this too! Except he'll hold it for 5 minutes and surprise me when he finally opens his mouth again.
Mine me also likes to stick his nose out the window while were driving. And he licks the trailer. And he'll eat practically anything. He doesn't have any naughty quirks besides the lead rope chewing though. Thank goodness.

My mare has a few:
Petrified of needles
Hates to have her nose touched
Stall walks, pasture paces & weaves
Will run you over to get her butt scratched
If she is not turned out of her stall by 6:05am she weaves like a madwoman
Will not paw, but stands with her left foot
(always left
) pulled all the way up when mad
Pops her bottom jaw out to the right
(always right
) when nervous
She totally freaks when you run the generator with her tied to the trailer
Yep, shes's a hot mess, but i love her!

When she gets nervous, Six will hold one foot up, but won't actually paw.
My gelding does that! Especially when he is waiting for grain
( he is the last to get fed
) he also will lick you to death. If you stand there long enough he will lick anything! I've had my face licked more by a horse in my life than any person should ever be licked by anything!
and Hemi while I'm giving him a bath when I go to spray between his legs he will lift up his leg on whichever side I'm on!
This looksjust like my ma're except mine does her left foot. NEVER does it touch the ground. She looks really intelligent when she does that and pops her bottom jaw out to the right at the same time. Lol

UGH I forgot her worst- she absolutely freaks out about getting a shot. It's a nighmare
My last horse was a lead rope chewer - anything she could reach she would put in her mouth - it was like having a giant toddler around.
