Location: La Porte, TX | Martha Josey is probably the only other one that would makes sense and draw a crowd. She would get the same response as June Holeman. |

I was so excited to see Charmayne run. I have never seen her run except for on youtube so that was a really awesome moment for me!!! I actually teared up a little watching her run.
I love that they bring in the legends to compete. They have punched their ticket (IMO) a long time ago. I would love to see Martha Josey compete
I would also vote for her. Is she still running these days?
I votite for Martha Josey!!!! |

I, also, think they should exempt June Holeman in until she can not get on her horse anymore. She is such an inspiration to watch and follow.
I agree. My mom cried when June ran. My mom wants to see June be Exempted in |

I honestly am not a Kristie fan for personal reasons (bad business deal).
I would rather see Kelly Kaminski if being a World Champ is a criteria.Β But having that as part of the exemption really limits themΒ in the barrel racing since CharmayneΒ has as many World titles as she does.
I do find it funny that they consider the qualifiers "underdog's". Β Especially in the barrels. Look at everything Happy and Robin have won. They can hardly be considered "underdog's" IMHO.
I guess I think there CAN be underdogs in the mix. Yes many of the qualifiers have been in the top of some kind of big scene. But I think it opens it up to those girls on bada$$ horses who maybe cant afford to go down the road or whatever their holdback may be. They've aybe questioned how good their horse is and this gives them that chance to find out |

| Personally I do't think June needs an exemption - she will qualify again. :) Besides, I don't think she fits into the "Exemption" category as she is currently going. The exemption needs to be someone from "back in the day." My vote goes to Jimmie Monroe or Marlene Eddleman. Both past World Champions from longer than 10 years ago. JMHO.......... |

Like your choices, love the ladies they both did lots for rodeo barrel racing. Jimmie, had a big part in the equal money during her reign as president. OP, I also think Kay Young should borrow the horse she recently sold to Catherine Asmussen and qualify next year! |

| CJ or June (if not qualified next yr) would bring in big ticket sales! Second choice would be Kelly Kaminski or Kay Young |

They can go and run at a qualifier. I don't know about Jimmie Monroe, but I do know that Marlene is competing as is Kelly Kaminski. |

Location: sunny california | maybe put all the past world champion names in a hat. your name goes in for as many times you were world champion. if your name gets drawn and you can't go you sub someone... that would sure make things interesting |

If you don't have a horse at that point that is competitive...What would be the point? I know I wouldn't want to go and compete and get my doors blown off..LOL |

I'll see Connie in a couple weeks and I'm going to ask her if she were asked if she would do it or not. I had to giggle at Billy Etbauer when he said he wouldn't ride again if they handed him a million! |

A-frikkin-MEN!!!! You have an arena, USE it! Barrels 30 feet off fence, was that necessary? |

Location: North Dakota | I think they should let the people vote who gets the exemption! This event opens the door for all the ladies that can not haul all year to get to the NFR. It is a big event that lets some of the best compete for good money. I can't wait until a high schooler wins it! Lots of great kids with great horses that deserve it! |

Location: torrington, wy | Not for sure why it has to be a past World Ch. I think there are several NFR girls that made the finals several times that would be great. Also anyone who has won the BFA futurity or Derby would be good and would allow men in also for the exemption. Just some different ideas. |
