Oh well. I guess I get to haul rubber mats down with me. http://www.bonusracefinals.com/2014Stalls.html |

The same thing happened to me. I entered way early and then I entered my mom 20 mins after I entered myself. She got dirt and I didn't. She was #100 on the list and I was #300 something. Do want make sense bit I guess the system didn't put me in until way late |

Isn't there a special on Easyboot RXs delivered to Lincoln by Sonya Walz?
If it were me, I'd be bedding that stall knee deep in shavings, putting my horse in the stall at the very last minute and yanking him out as soon as the sun comes up. At state NBHA last year, my horses never spent more than 8 hours at a time in their stalls even though those are dirt stalls. I kept them at my trailer as much as possible because they're happier there than in an unfamiliar stall. |

On the link I posted is a list of names and their stalls. All those on that particular list are on dirt. I saw your name on the list so you're one of the lucky ones. |

I've got 3 horses going and not enough Soft Rides to go around. I've got some 4 x 6' or (something like that)stall mats that aren't real thick or heavy so I can handle them fairly easy. I'll roll them up tight and put them on my hay rack. Coming home they'll be full of pee and poop so I'll lay them out for another cushion in my trailer to stand on. I'll also use lots of shavings. I hope those are priced reasonably. I'm starting to wish I hadn't entered all 3 of my spots. If these stalls are sized decently it will help so the horses can move around. I was in Verndale, MN last year and got the worlds smallest stall for my big stout mare. She couldn't even turn around and that was on concrete. I think I had 8 bags of shavings in there. |

Location: Nebraska | I want to say shavings are between $8-10 a bag, but don't quote me on that. I've never had to stall there. When I went to the BBR finals a few years ago, I got these interlocking play mat things from either Target or Walmart. They're light and foam but I can't remember how much they cost. They worked just fine for my paint mare loaded with shavings and we were on concrete. |

I was thinking of those too. I know someone once mentioned they moved around quite a bit with their particular horse. I can see where they would work for my gelding but my 2 mares have ants in their pants so they might come apart. I think I saw that some people just throw them away after they use them? |

We duct taped them together. I didn't have issues with mine coming apart at all and my mare absolutely hates being in stalls. She wasn't in for longer than overnight, though. Mine were still decent to use and I keep them in my trailer just in case but you could throw them away. |

Duct tape is an awesome idea. I'll check those out at Menards in the next couple days. My stall mats are going to be a pain to haul down there but I'll do what I have to, to keep the horses happy. |

Location: Iowa | I heard of some people at world NBHA putting down that pink insulation 4x8 sheets then shavings over that. Cheap and light to haul too. Also could use truck bed mats. When your done, wash and put them back in the truck.
