She owned Troubled Memories right?
I would breed to him in a heart beat, were I breeding. Trying to convince any of my friends to breed one of my mares to him. I have 2 granddaughters of Lady Bugs Moon that should have his baby. |

| sorrel horse ranch - 2014-07-25 8:41 AM I absolutely would not over look an Appy. I had one that was an awesome horse. Ask Rockinas about her good luck she has had with Appys.
As you know, we love the one we are riding for SG. He is not spotted though. I will say this as a word of caution. I have found that a lot of appys carry the PSSM gene. Probably not so much the running as the working lines, but I'd sure get a test done BEFORE I purchased one. |

No, she sold him. I inquired about him and she sent me the info on who has him now, but I'd have to go back through my emails. I want to say he went to MN? |

Yes, he was sold to a family in MN and unfortunately passed. I think they got a couple mares settled to him before it happened but I am not sure how many. |

| My daughter's pole horse is an App.. He's tough as nails, never takes a lame step..Pretty don't ride is the motto she adopted when we bought him lol.. He has the longest fullest tail in the barn (which has wrapped around and drug down a pole before- I threatened to chop it off and complete his Appy-ness)

Poor girl. I don't think any of them settled. If I understood her posts correctly, they tried frozen semen.
It is true about the PSSM. Mostly through the Dreamfinder lines and there are a lot of them. Not sure on any others. This is just what I have picked up on the PSSM forum on facebook. |

Check out the photo on the web site.... the cover photo for the most recent Appaloosa Journal.
A black / white App put me through college on a rodeo scholarship.... leading my women's team to two NIRA regional team championships. Then the third (and last year) I college rodeoed at a college that had NO rodeo team, he and I ended up third in the women's team standings for the year all by ourselves. I would never pass up a good horse -- and some chrome just adds to the fun in my opinion. The folks that show Apps are some of the most wonderful people you could ever meet. Very nice people. I've showed AQHA and App.... and keep going back to the App shows because of the wonderful people and my lovely App mare. |

Location: Texas | What a pretty app one the website. I grew up riding a crazy little app that could kill a pole pattern. He was the nervous type and I was 14 and probably added to the craziness with the repeated pattern work. In all fairness, we did not know any better at the time. And he was pretty.
The Reminic in Spots horse mentioned, all of the babies appear to be solids. Does anyone know if he has thrown any spotted babies? |

She sold him and I'm pretty sure he recently died.

Location: Texas | I just bought an Oklahoma accredited bred Appy mare. Own daughter of Dash for Perks out of a nice producing mare. My mare earned money on the track herself. Trying to find previous foals to see if she herself has produced anything. |

Location: SoCal | We have some really nice Appaloosas that run in our area, a lot of solid, but also a lot of color. The people who own them breed for the speed, but a lot of their horses are 1D/2D and quick pole horses too! My family had Apps many years ago, so it would be neat to get one.
I've researched the bloodlines a little for Quarter Horses as far as unusually marked AQHA foals go, and there are documented AQHA horses that have the genes for Appaloosa markings and express the characteristics, whose bloodlines snuck in as "roans" from what I've been able to find. |

| One of my favorite horses ever was an Appy. He had had a huge heart and always gave his best. I wouldn't hesitate to own another |

Location: Washington. (The DRY side.) | I've had 3 Appies and would have another in a heartbeat. But ONLY if it was COLORED! I have NO desire to have a solid one. If it is going to be solid and live here, it will be AQHA. |
