Rob a bank? One of my cousins did that and I wouldn't really recommend it. Not only did he serve time, he was also featured on the show "Dumb Crimnals" and then died from a heart attack at age 54. Bad juju.
My my husband made grilled chicken, green beans, and garlic bread last night. He's bringing me Mexican takeout for lunch today...I've been a very naughty girl lately. Heehee

I've thought about doing some kind of breeding consulting later but will have to develop more contacts and do more research to be ready. I've started though. I'll even have a website model soon. :) Very cool, oija! It's all about the baby steps and sounds like you're heading the right direction!
I agree! |

Location: DUMPING CATS AND PIGS IN TEXAS :) | I really think that we have an amazing support group here, but maybe don't tell each other what we are trying to accomplish. Like Bennie said, she doesn't want to say because it might not happen.....well, I think that if we tell each other we will get a world of support and encouragement and therefore have a much better chance of achieving that goal. I tell you, I get bummed out sometimes, but a few words from Jessi or Alison and I'm ready to push forward again. |

I don't tell anyone because I can't remember the last time I actually fulfilled a goal. Not for lack of trying either. I try then get disappointed and try again because I'm stubborn. It's less embarrassing to fail when others don't know how epic your failure was. |

I'm sure Jessi has something great to say here lol. Probably something like failure is a least a try or a learning experience or some crap like that lol. We need to start a positive support group :) |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | I would never say I am anything less than beyond blessed in my life. But sometimes going for things doesn't help make anything happen. Hubby and I thought we were finally in a position to be approved for a home loan. We have worked hard to clean up credit, put away for a nice downpayment. Sold things we didn't want to so we could add to our down. Got prequalified, pending we take in tax information. And it all fell apart yesterday.
Sorry.....didn't want to be a downer. LOL. Go for your goals, guys. |

Location: NE Texas | It's important to set attainable goals that stair step to your ultimate goal. Sure, we'd all love to run down the tunnel at the Thomas & Mack, but it's not a realistic goal for me, so it isn't on my list. I do believe that occasional failure is part of the journey and that any failure is to be learned from, but if EPIC failure is something that you continue seeing, I think it's time to re-evaluate your short term goals and the steps it will take to accomplish them.
I am a worrier by nature....I used to worry about everything and still do if I allow myself to. I try very hard not to verbalize anything negative. I try not to verbalize my fears or my worries. Without verbalizing them they have no merit. If I find those fears or negativities are haunting my mind I will make a CHOICE not to think about it. And yes, it is that simple, it IS a choice. I will not let fear or anxiety rule my life.....it has in the past but it won't any more.
I would encourage everyone on here to read "That Winning Feeling" by Jane Savoie (not sure I spelled that correctly). It's a short book and easy read but it really did change my life when I was struggling with things a bit. It is about goal setting and having a positive attitude but I have applied it to so many parts of my life. It is a must read and something I think every person can benefit from.

Ahhhh so it was a step back .... this is when you choose your attitude and direction, right? The SO and I are going through the same things ... got a good down payment, are debt free, and trying to get the farm loan situation figured out so we can purchase a row crop and pasture place .... we are currently working with bank #3.
Hugs lady ... keep going!!! |

| I think it is important to remember that failure or setbacks are not the end of a dream. It is just an opportunity to improve on what you already had and try again. |

This is just the beginning.....we too have been turned down on a home loan. My husband has horrible credit from his previous marriage and divorce, so most of the financing falls on me and my credit. We can't get approved for as much as we need due to him not being able to apply. But hey, we have a roof over our heads. Our 1000 square feet might be a bit crowded sometimes with three adults, two kiddos, and 5 dogs, but hey, it makes us be close to one another and talk and enjoy each others company. I choose to look at this as a positive. Would I like a bigger house....yep....is it the end of the world....nope.
Keep working toward your goal, Bingo. If you've only been turned down by one financing place, you're just getting started. There are alot of different options or maybe the time isn't right, but don't quit working toward it....you'll get there! |
