Extreme Veteran Posts: 461 Location: Illinois	Sadly poor slim jim did not make it through the night. We had a rescue team come out and try to get him up but he wouldnt try to stand on his own. they had him up for 12 minutes and he didn't even try so they laid him back down in our barn and covered in with blanket set him up sternaly so he wasn't on his side. I SAT with him most of the night. I left him at 1030 last night so I could get some sleep. When I left him he was breathing hard and wouldn't eat or drink so I didn't think he had long. When I went down to check on him this morning he was gone. even though I only had him for a few short days I am very heartbroken over the fact that he didn't make it. Thank you so very much for providing him with love and care at the end. Animals do not deserve the mistreatment he received from his previous owner. I am a meaned spirited person when it comes to the mistreatment of animals and I hope she knows the pain and agony she has caused this poor guy at some point in her life.
