Location: NE Texas | There aren't words to express how sorry I am for your loss. All I can say is thank you for sharing yours and Bear's story even at this time of your mourning, as it has reminded me once again to never take our horses for granted. Your post brought me to tears and I pray that your and Carol are comforted in knowing that you gave him the very best, just as he did you. Blessing to you, Scott, and to Carol, and most of all to Bear. I know he's looking down thanking you, Doc, for being his best friend too! |

Its closing in on 5 years that we put my Bar down the day after my birthday...... there are still days the memories overwhelm me with emotion... its just there way of reminding us they are still here. Run free bear.... |

Location: stray dump capital of the world | Nothing prepares us for the loss of our equine partners. We lost one a year ago to colic, and there are days that I think I see her in the pasture. Then I am overcome with grief as the day we lost her replays in my head. Never be embarrassed to cry. God gave men tears as equally as he gave it to women. Men that show emotion are compassionate and that is a unique quality. I pray that God lays his hands on your heavy heart and lifts your pain.
