I would have something like this cooking in my kitchen when he got home with his plate of leftovers...and this guy would be cooking for the two of us...he needs to remember the door swings both way....

I would be leary of a woman that sends over food for one... Sounds Fishy to me.
Since her husband doesn't sppreciate her cooking and your husband does she may thinking he has the hots for her. Even though he may not....

Maybe she lost her husband and she truly likes to cook/bake and see others happy. Maybe it feels her feel better. Or maybe she has leftovers and she doesn't want them around the house. I wouldn't be so quick to judge when a woman is being nice.

I bake pies and cookies for my single farrier all the time and the reason I do it, is because I appreciate him and he loves home baked stuff and he gets more excited over them then when I tip him which I do every time also.

I'd keep the neighbor lady. I can cook, and I'm a pretty good cook, and I like to cook...I almost never have time to cook. So, since I live at home, dad cooks breakfast and mom cooks supper, and if I have to make myself (or find) something for lunch, I'm good with that, ha-ha. But, for some entertainment...

Oh my...lol!I'm not sure how I'd feel about neighbor lady. I mean, I am the giver of rhubarb bars. I will make them for anyone, any time. Pot luck? Rhubarb bars. Christmas? Rhubarb bars. Funeral? Rhubarb bars. Mostly just because I know my rhubarb bars are the rhubarbiest, not because I have the hots for anyone (although I dare you not fall in love w/ me after trying them lol).

Well, I guess if nothing else...invite her over...coffee or something...she might be lonely and needing a friend...if she puts you off, you got your answer...

I wasn't trying to judge at all I appologize for coming off that way
I thought the OP stated that the neighbors husband didn't like her cooking so the neighbor lady sent leftovers to the OP husband. Maybe I read it wrong... Will have to go back and re-read... Either way, I personally, would still be leary since she didn't send the OP's Belly any yummy food.

Then again, I guess the OP could always go over and ask why the neighbor lady only sends food for one? Just to check it out.

Where can I find a neighbor lady like that? I wish someone would give my husband some food...then I wouldn't have to stress about what to make for supper and could spend more time outside with the ponies lol

My husband is like the neighbor lady. He LOVES to feed people. He will feed anyone, anytime. It just makes him happy if people like his cooking. I hate to cook, so he does the large majority of it, and if he wants to wrap up plates of leftovers and give to other guys and gals, I'm ok with it. Now if he was CONSISTENTLY feeding one woman and she was young and attractive, I might not be so ok with it.
