To protect everyone's horses at the D&D, she should be asked to not attend and every horse that has been at her place or in her trailer should be in quarantine, but thats JMO......................

That's all fine and good, but imagine how many people have horses in "infected" facilities that no one knows there's a problem yet? You just have to take measures to protect your own horse.
It's a tough situation for the producers...if they require proof that her particular horses aren't infected, shouldn't they require it of all horses? I'm not saying she should get away with this AT ALL, but I can see this being a huge headache for D&D.

DDBHC had no problem telling some high school girls that had made some remarks on FB about wearing Magic Seats, that they were banned from entering. Don't see why asking someone who has horses infected with strangles in their barn to not compete would be any bigger of an issue.

Also I believe that The Texas Horse Health Commission is in College Station. They should be notified.

scwebster - 2015-03-09 3:41 PM Someone give me some tips on disinfecting/preparing rented stalls.
There was someone that posted a product you mix with water and spray the stalls down to sanitize, it was an alternative to using bleach and about $50 a gallon but you got a lot of uses out of that. For the life of me I cannot remember the product name.
Thanks, that helps. It's $50 a gallon and not bleach. I'll google it :
Hey!! You be nice!! I am trying to find it...but not having any luck. I know a store here sells it... I'll go by on my way home.
Oh boy, another clue! Thanks :

When I dealt with strangles years ago, which did develop into pupura and was a nightmare to deal with, my vet recomended Nolvasan/chorhexadine for cleaning.  http://www.drugs.com/vet/nolvasan-solution.html

So some High School girls were not allowed to enter the D&D because of comments made about using a magic seat?

If that's true then it's probably why Fallon went on her bullying rant and is going to be running in one.

I believe it was about a young contestant at the American who wore a Magic Seat and was being made fun of - good for Fallon and D&D!

That's not the way I heard it. Too bad it's been deleted as it's all now he said she said. I'm for helmets and see no problem with magic seats but I do have a real problem with these young kids getting whipped around on horse's that they are over mounted on, makes me cringe. So since I said that will I get banned from running at a barrel race?

I dont want to get involved in the magic seat debate but I do have a question I have been pondering. Beings though I have never used one, or even personally looked at one close, I'm curious if a horse fell and the rider was using a magic seat, what then? Does it somehow release?

TC - I used one for two races with my rocket mare.  I popped loose from it both times just from how hard she comes off the barrels.  I can't imagine it being dangerous in a fall situation.

That may be true for adults.. I do not see a small 50lb child being able to pop it loose . I absolutely feel these things were not designed to stick a tiny child on ahuge  powerful horse and kick.. to assist yes.. but there is  a fine line in parents responsibilites here..

Amen and from what I understand...that was pretty much the discussion on magic seats that FT jumped on the band wagon about. I would love to read what actually was said and done as what was told to me it was pretty much an over reaction on FT's part and some of the bullying came from her end. So what is the real truth?

I hope people that have horses at her facility go check them out, hopefully someone is telling them or they see this. This could be said about anyone that has a horse at a trainer though.

If I remember right it was about a teen that took her own life from being bullyed about using a magie seat.

This is what FT posted....The girl who took her life was not being bullied about the Magic Seat.........

This gorgeous young lady took her own life this week after bullies were relentlessly attacking her. As an adult...I take plenty of heat daily online....I WILL NOT stand by while kids and adults bully kids and adults. I fly my freak flag hoping that I will catch all the heat from the haters...but that isn't enough!!! A different young lady at the American caught heat for wearing a protective velcro seat while she competed....I will be competing in one at Diamonds & Dirt Barrel... Horse Classic to stand in alliance with this young lady and all others that take criticism for their choices to help try and make a difference. I will be doing more...but for those of you that think its ok to bash people online thinking your small circle of friends won't be affected.....they will be and its costing us lives! If I had to guess....the people doing the bashing are the most sad, unconfident, least brave among us and simply need a hug and a real friend to rely on. If your friends jump on your bashing bandwagon....you don't have friends...you have people around you that will help bash you when you decide to move on from that relationship. I was bullied in school....my father was bullied in school....my sister was teased in school.....it has to stop somewhere! I was made fun of for how smart I was...because I was into horses...and because of my eclectic taste in clothes....UMMMMMMM guess what made me a rodeo celebrity......being smart....loving horses....and eclectic taste in clothes!!!!! Not everyone is average....some people are unique..different....innovative...guess what!?! Those people can CHANGE THE WORLD WE LIVE IN!!! Now that we have lost one of these amazingly unique individuals...again...to cyber bullying I beg you to not just watch but report them..stop them...get them blocked!

A girl took her life over cyber bullying. Fallon made a post about that. The girl didn't even ride. Fallon mentioned in the same post that someone at the American was made fun of for wearing something to help her stay seated. She didn't mention magic seat in particular. But Fallon mostly meant she was standing up for everyone and wants to take the heat for others. I have no idea who wore the thing at the American. Amberley was strapped in but duh she has to be. And if someone was making fun of her then they are a low life piece of scum. That is just wrong.
