AQHA told me they can match her through DNA IF she had been DNA'd. So we are going to give that a try. They said they will give a reg. # and name with the DNA results. Then we can contact past owner. So YAY!! Does anybody know exactly when they changed the rule that all new registrations have to do DNA? I know our two 6 yr olds didn't when we registered them, but last years Frenchmans Fabulous filly and this years Firewaterontherocks colt we did. So praying she was DNA'd.
On another note, many of you know Traci Pratt from texas. Traci has saved 11 horses out of the kill pen in the last couple months. ALL have been very nice horses! She saved this mare june 1st. Rode her that night and gave her to her son the next morning. He has Juvinal Huntington's disease of which is progressive and there is no cure. I'm going to share 2 pics with you. The first is the day he got her 3 weeks ago, and the second, is from today. They are at The Elite barrel race. This is definatelly a case of 2 angels, saving each other. This is Roxy, the kill pen rescue just 3 weeks ago.

Unless the rule changed this year, not all registration applicants need to be dna'd.
Only when dealing with shipped semen, cooled or frozen
If the horse is over the age of 3
If the mare was on two different stallion reports

Katie's - 2015-07-16 6:23 PM Well I wish I hadn't gone to that auction site. Â Heartbreaking. Â Â
It is very sad. Thats a site/page that lists those horses directly from the kill pen. They list horses from a couple different kill pens. The Bowie kill buyer told me he gets 10 semi loads of horses a WEEK!! It is all so very sad and for me, I think the absolute most heartbreaking are the bred mares, and the ultimate worst is the mares with foals on their side. When the mares ship across the border, the foals are seperated off in the loading chute and left behind. Alone, and most just die and/or are savaged by the other horses while searching for mom. It's just heartbreaking. Â
There are truck loads that come thru town here pretty regularly, and I have to turn my head. Just makes me sick to think of what they're headed towards. . . . |

Location: Where I am happiest | Small update..... We got the mare home. We had a transport co. haul her from Tx. to Or and she arrived this past thursday. He said she was the best horse in the load. She ate, she drank, and never raised a peep. She has been a absolute doll since she has been home. She hasnt raised a single cross hair! She has been bathed, clipped, blanketed ( with a fly sheet ) and all without a peep. Everything has been so easy with her and it is evident she has been very well taken care of untill reciently and everything we did she was used to and knew all about it. Had the vet out today to check her over and do a soundness exam. She flexed great on all 4, limber as heck, very flexable and wasnt body sore anywhere. She is sound as a dollar!!! She is however, pretty small and pretty down on her weight but the weight is a easy fix. The biggest thing, is she is not 4. He put her at 7. So now we have to try to find older catalogs. She is sorrel, with alot of roan hairs throughout, and especially through her flank and belly and has a coon tail. Pretty headed, slightly long backed and fine boned. She stands 14, maybe 14.1. |

| I looked through 2010... http://www.westernhorsereview.com/blogs/breed-sport-news/fulton-per...
I cant find a photo of Alis Sunshine – 2007 Sorrel Mare – (Streakin Ali – BJ Sun Wood) Rodeo Solutions – South Dakota. Looks like she competed in futurities in the midwest by a Shanna Anderson?

Location: Dearing, GA | You've got to give this mare the barn name of Clue or Mystery or Nancy Drew or something- she's had everyone doing a lot of mystery solving! |

I hope we are able to solve the mystery! I love seeing these types of horses have their stories told. A friend of mine has worked with an animal communicator on her rescue mare. It is incredible what she's learned about her. I was skeptical but the information has been crazy accurate. |

Maybe the OP would be interested? If someone is fb friends, could see if theres any photos of her on this Ali's Sunshine? Easily confirm it is or isnt the horse we're looking for. I would be really surprised if the horse ran and was entered in futurities and ended up here but you never know. |

Location: Where I am happiest | Any and all help is greatly appreciated!! Maybe your friend who had Ali's Sunshine could look at this thread and see if she knows this horse? It is evident she has been very well taken care of and handled a lot in the past and has traveled. She loads right up, hauls quiet and doesn't stress at all. No matter where she went, she acted like she had been there 1000 times and dispite 3 days on the trailer, loaded right back up again. My daughter drove 6 hours south to meet the hauler and pick her up. On the way home got a flat on the trailer. What was supposed to be a short 6 hr haul ended up 8 and she still never raised a hair. Never even moved in the trailer and they didn't even know she was in there the whole time changing it on the side of the freeway. Even though she has lost ALOT of weight, her coat is still VERY shiney. She has been loved, and she wants to be your friend. She is just a real sweety. |

This has brought me tears and chills----you have gotten several "golden stars" where it counts for what you've done for this sweet girl. I hope she repays you and your family back 100 fold in thanks. |

There is a picture with Ali's Sunshine on allbreed, and it doesn't look like this horse.
Three white stockings & a big blaze.
The picture could always be wrong though. |

I didnt even think to look there since so many dont have pics!!
I am almost more leaning towards it being one of these:
Cant find photos of descriptions of the following:

36 Unnamed 2009 M A Streak Of Fling Our Red Gravy Hand Off Boy Mundorf 2200 From PA
I wonder why those two went unnamed? |
