I do think that better background checks for all people coming into the country is agreeable because of all that is going on, but we should all remember the heinous crimes done in the name of Christianity and that not all muslims are "evil" and some really are trying to escape bombings. seroiusly? that isnt just whats coming over the border.. these are ILLEGALS .. the wall isnt to keep out the hungry..we can check all we want but those people are coming.. illegally.. I didn't mean a wall to keep the hungry out. I meant I would rather support a local food bank than give my money towards building a wall haha easy misunderstanding. Sure a wall will keep out the small time crime, which is great. However, the big crime lords have extensive tunnels and would require much more to keep out. Well drugs is the big time crime I was talking about if you think a wall can stop drug lords that have millions of dollars and resources you are surely mistaken. Generalizing raping and stealing to just illegals ehh.... I guess I feel for the percent of illegal Meixcans (other poor countries ) that face death to come to American who can't afford the $600 legalization who make $5 a day and just want to make a living. I understand it's not right legally and that there are criminals in the bunch. There is no clear-cut way to handle the situation to me because people are suffering. Where do you live? I live in South Texas and illegals are a huge problem down here. Just 30 miles from where I live they discovered a cartel execution. We have "rape Trees" where the scum leave the women's panties in the tree after raping them and leaving them to die of thirst. Coyotes regularly steal trucks to haul illegals in and have no compunction about wrecking the vehicle and killing these people they are bringing over when the border patrol try to pull them over. Happens on a daily basis. So far I have described the crimes of human trafficking, rape, murder and theft. That dang sure is NOT small time crime. Not to mention ranchers being shot at on their own property. A wall won't stop it, but it would slow it down. It is not just Mexicans coming over. Border patrol friends have told us there are a lot of Syrians and Russian speaking people coming over. Used to be, the ranchers left water and food out for the illegals, but now they come up to the houses to steal and have become really aggressive. They attack the oil field workers, stripping them of their clothes and stealing their phones and vehicles. So please explain to me why we don't need a wall again. This is my little piece of the world that I love and it hurts to watch it change into something I don't recognize. Reality is it's a short term solution to a long-term problem. And that is the best Trump's got. There needs to be someone in office who doesn't need some guy to hold his hand during a televised speech. There is not much hope for a candidate who can critically think and actually solve this problem.
Bit naive aren't we..... you really think the rest of them does not have anybody holding their hand, and writing their speech for them?? Well newsflash girly, they all do!!
And I hope you won't hold your breath waiting for that genius to come in and save you, because it'll be a cold day in heck before that happens.
What we do need to do, is stop with the freaking political correctness and start taking care of our own people.... we have too many people holding up their hands for nothing (food stamps, EBT etc....) "You want to eat, you get to work..." And no, I don't want to get rid of those programs, but they need to be implemented for the people that really need it. Plus, why do I have to take a drug test to get a job, but it is not done for unemployment and other help programs.....
There is a lot that needs working on in this country, but voting for Billary will only make it worse for the hardworking people that made this country great in the first place....

I have my ID checked every morning and every evening at work. Certain areas at work require my ID be checked before entry. Then I have to have a different ID to access an area within the complex I work.
When you look like an illegal, act like an illegal, expect to have your ID checked.

You want government assistance, and are able bodied, you will be put to work. I'm all for less government intrusion, but a program can be organize to put these people to work.
The slum areas. Organize crews, train them if need be, work on improving the area. From cleaning up, painting structures, improve living conditions.
Back during the big depression, many work projects dotted the U.S. Landscape.
You don't work, no free money. No more $$ for having more kids. Put the incentive back to having dads raise their kids with their bio moms.

The wall of Jordan can't even be compared yet as it hasn't been built, so who is to say it will keep the Syrians out. Also, I haven't found anything about a wall between Mexico and Guatemala. Unfortunately, the only person aiming to get a wall that could possibly be elected is Trump. I am not sure if he is up against Hillary if he will be elected because unfortunately most dems will vote for Hillary over Trump. I would do a write-in before voting for either. If you want to build a wall take it off my national debt to yours, I would rather have it billed towards funding people who will actually have a permanent solution. I am not saying it's not a bad first idea, but really that is the best we got. You have a right to be frustrated and vote for who you want to get in, but so do I. I hear what you are saying, but I want an end game, I want more people involved playing an active role. A wall is distracting people....many people believe it will solve all problems. That to me is a major flaw. How many people when all they see is reduced numbers will not be enraged that there isn't a permanent solution?

It's worth noting that the reason there has not been a successful terrorist attack at Israeli airports sine 1972 is largely due to the fact that they see "profiling" as a matter of course. They have screeners that are trained to ask questions and read the reactions/responses of the travelers. Sending some for further screening based on their responses and other factors. They DO look at muslim and some ethnicities with more careful scrutiny and send any they deem suspicious through further and more rigorous screening. They don't see it as anything other than doing what is prudent and necessary to protect their people. And it's working.

My only point was Trump wasn't prepared for his job, yet he was given an exception. Furthermore, the rule was bent for him to have a moderator and for the other candatites who already were prepardd to have a moderator.At my job I am supposed to be prepared and ready not bend the rules because I wasn't prepared. Looking at the little business he build I would say he is up to the job....
And you are right about the fact that everybody has to be prepared in their job, and it doesn't matter which job that is.... But you also know that sometimes things happen, and you have to have some help from others... that is what a good leader does... recognizing when he needs to delegate, or ask for help.
But hey, just stick your head in the sand. It'll be alright.... once you are done working off your debt I am sure there are people lining up to mooch off of you.

They were able to move around so easily because Obummer made the Border Patrol step down. It had been all over the news down here. The Border Patrol is furious. He has effectively stopped ANY activity down here. Wow, you live all the way up in PA, no wonder you have no idea what is really going on down here. Oh, wait you have first hand knowledge you got from articles you have read and SPRING BREAKERS!

There is not much hope for a candidate who can critically think and actually solve this problem.

It's worth noting that the reason there has not been a successful terrorist attack at Israeli airports sine 1972 is largely due to the fact that they see "profiling" as a matter of course. They have screeners that are trained to ask questions and read the reactions/responses of the travelers. Sending some for further screening based on their responses and other factors. They DO look at muslim and some ethnicities with more careful scrutiny and send any they deem suspicious through further and more rigorous screening. They don't see it as anything other than doing what is prudent and necessary to protect their people. And it's working.
But this isn't Israel- this is the United States, a nation made on freedom. Freedom that I would like to keep, thank you very much (which is why Im not voting for someone with fascist ideals). And taking people aside just because they happen to look Muslim is like pulling over every lone white teenage boy because there's a chance they might shoot up a school. | |

As for the wall, I am totally for it. It has even been suggested that our military build the wall, they are already being paid although not nearly enough. When Trump says Mexico will pay for the wall he is mainly talking about all of the American companies going to Mexico....when Carrier, Nabisco, etc., import to US tax them. That's where most of the money will come from. The wall won't stop ALL illegals but it will darn sure help and make it much easier to monitor the border. | |
