Location: Winging It in KY | mtcanchazer - 2016-04-27 10:32 PM I buy and sell things, but I come by it naturally (my dad makes his living that way). I'll buy a saddle, clean it up, sell it, maybe I'll do the same with a car, pretty much anything. I do online surveys for points so I can afford some luxuries, such as I'll do surveys to earn points towards a Starbucks giftcard (Starbucks is a weakness of mine), but I'll also earn points for cash or for other giftcards like Walmart or Amazon for gifts or items I need. It takes up my evenings a little bit, but I'm usually on the computer browsing BHW any ways. I also shovel a neighbor lady's sidewalk in the winter for a few extra bucks. There are lots of little ways to make a few extra bucks.
Sent you a PM. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | This will be my 2nd year doing data collection for a CAP trial in cotton for Bayer CropScience. Not a huge paycheck, but I'm out there doing data collection for myself anyway, so it's not a big deal. I'm also going to try to see if I can drum up interest for riding lessons. People have been asking for years and I kept putting it off. My kids are old enough now, I think it's doable. I'm also on the hunt for a project horse. |

soo, because I've recently changed jobs-from a "higher" up corp job to a govt job, I've put a few things into perspective. I took about a $25k a year pay cut to get out from under the stress of the corp job. (strange, weird and scarey) If you need "extra" money to fund hobbies, reevaluate your lifestyle. Live within your means, that might mean downgrading a car, watching your shopping habits, and budgeting. I no longer am able to shop much over my lunch and that alone has saved us about $150 a month. I'm sure I could get out from under my car and save $150 a month for a decent car instead of only 2 years old......refinance the house back to a 30 year mortgage (tho this is a desperate attempt to survive) If you have a newer trailer, vehicle, look for a cheaper (but still dependable) version. I'm still not sure that I will be able to barrel race much this summer, but so far it's looking like we should be just fine. Make the money you do have work the best for you!
I'd rather be broke and happy eating tuna packets, never getting my hair done, and having little savings than not barrel racing.... |

I'm glad for you, however, I have made life decisions that include 2 children I'll be ****ed if they will eat tuna packets while I'm barrel racing! Live within your life decisions is all I'm saying.......I'm not really sure why you chose to quote me....what is it with my comment that makes you think I'm broke? |

Location: A Higher Elevation | I work a FT+ job. Ends up usually being 45-50 hours a week. 2 hour roundtrip commute. I've been divorced 4 years now. I have 2 boys. Their dad is a deadbeat.
I am also a PRCA secretary, which is seasonal where I live. And with my FT job, I can't go like I'd like to. So I only do 4-6 rodeos a year.
Last May, I became an It Works! distributor. Best decision I made in a long time!! Because of my FT job, I work in a remote location so I'm not really around many people. 90% of my It Works! is on Facebook. Easy Peasy! My IW pay is almost at 1/2 of what my FT job take-home is. It sure has relieved a lot of pressure when it comes to bills. I'm making an extra car payment to get it paid off sooner, and paying my car insurance with it. And saving for Xmas shopping at NFR. Last year, at NFR, I was actually able to enjoy going to Cowboy Christmas and shop. And, not worry...

Location: Buffalo, Wyoming | I am salary so no overtime for me. We just recently moved from WY to TX and I took pretty much a $5 an hour paycut because my SO doesn't want me driving the terrible roads out of Stephenville. I am making less money and paying more out of pocket as I had to sign up for insurance since I had a freak accident that I needed surgery for. ?SO makes really good money and we are not struggling by any means but I would just like to make some extra money. I cannot ride at the moment as my knee is still healing, so cannot take any outside horses. |

Location: Texas | UTAHCANCHASER - 2016-04-27 12:59 PM Longneck - 2016-04-26 7:10 AM I work for a vendor that attends a lot of the major stock shows and rodeos. If I didn't have a full time job with home responsibilities I would do a lot more shows, so I'm not making thousands a year. It's not year long work, so I take what money I do make and use it as more of a "treat" for myself.... Upgrades on a saddle, a nice pair of boots I've been eyeing, etc. Things that I would have not budgeted for otherwise. I also try to be diligent in cleaning out my closet and taking stuff to consignment shops. Also be sure and use sites like Ebates for online shopping.... It's probably not going to pay any serious bills, but it's free money in a sense. What do you do for them? You can PM if you would like.
I would like to know also. |

I work a full time M-F 8-5 job. I work Saturdays bartending to pay for my horse wants/needs/expenses/rodeos. I usually average around $500-600 monthy between minimun wage in MN and tips.Â
I really miss bartending and walking out with cash in hand, but how do you have the time to rodeo when working every saturday night? My FT job is Tues - Fri 730-530 so I can't really run anywhere on Friday nights after my hour drive home. I love working 4 tens with a third day off. I know I could be bartending again but I don't want to give up my Saturday nights. |

| You can become a CNA fairly quick and easy. Most if not all nursing homes would be happy to have you in the afternoons, and on weekends.
Horses are so time consuming, I don't see how people find time to do 2 jobs. |

I also work at a cattle sale barn, my husband is a welder/farrier/saddle maker and we run some cattle. My goal with Arbonne is to retire my husband from welding so we can do the cattle full time and he can focus more on his saddle making, which he does now part time. |
