jd&ez - 2016-11-09 7:25 AM I'm not surprised at this outcome. I am surprised that anyone would think he will do well as president.

I hope I am wrong and he is successful and does right by this country that is already great despite his saying it is not.
Then why has the Dems platform been one of change???
I have no idea what you are talking about nor how whatever it is fits into what I said.

If America is still great why did the dems have a platform of hope and change?  Why the change??    I believe we were heading down a path of such political correctness we were doomed.

Well....but but but.......ummmm.....that's different, you racist!

Three 4 Luck - 2016-11-09 10:34 AM  The people said screw the candidate with no morals, screw the media, screw the socialists, screw the pompous urban asses who want to impose their beliefs and desires on those of us who are the backbone of this country.  Now I hope our elected representatives will uphold their part and reset us back onto the right course.
It actually was none of that. Trump didn't get as many votes as Romney did. This was an election against, nor for.

But Trump is my prsident now and I hope he is successful. I will not sit around rooting against Trump as people did against Obama. I hope my taxes are less. I hope he does something about welfare. I hope he can unite what he has worked to divide. I hope he comes to realize that America is a great country.

I hope he doesn't continue the racial and social divide that he played to during the election.

I had a friend tell me yesterday that he was voting for Trump even though he hated everything about Trump. His reasoning, he felt there was no hope for change with Hillary. He doesn't think Trump will change anything either but there is a glimmer of hope that he will. I actually understand that reasoning.

From where I sit, Obama is the one who divided our country by bringing out old grudges and hatred and then, with media help, fanning the flames every chance he got.  I don't think Trump's message was meant to be polarizing, but it was represented that way and brought out some of the crazies, which seemingly lended credence that the message was bigoted and divisive.     After the last year or so, I am more convinced than ever that people hear what they want to hear no matter what was said.

Yep. President Obama had the unique opportunity to bring this country together like no other President before him. Instead he tore us apart. Hopefully Trump can help to bring us together a bit more.

This election was the result of the backlash of identity politics.  The democrats targeted black America, gay America, female America and Hispanic America.  They left out male white blue collar working class America.  No Replican has taken all of the rust belt like Trump since Reagan's 2nd term.

Real deal. Lol.  It was awesome watching Wolf Blitzer melt down though.  I was a little worried about getting back home today.

I'm not surprised. I'm sure CNN and MSNBC are going to make hay with the images of the protesters. They are just hooligans.

Bear, I'm just enjoying this too much.  I was so concerned for my children but the SCOTUS could be set for a generation if Trump keeps his promise.

That was the most important reason for electing Trump. We dodged a bullet, I think.

That is EXACTLY what I posted on Facebook this morning. They are scared to death that Trump is going to take away their government tit and they might have to get JOBS. Hubby's sister (who is an idiot), was WHINING about how her health depends on Obamacare and she can't lose it - she is 50, married to a wealthy WAY older man and she doesn't work - cry me a freaking RIVER. Get a ****ed JOB.

I went over Trumps first 100 days plan. I sort of laughed when I read it. Showed it to my husband and we both said the same thing. There are a lot of progressive ideas in his plan. Lol

I'm on board and am curious to see just how willing republicans will be to work on some of these things.

I had to listen to a room full of liberals at work yesterday until I couldn't stand it anymore and went on defense.  They thought the e-mail problem only involved one lonely e-mail and pretty much shut up when I explained Hillary had acid-washed 30K e-mail while under subpoena........ that were supposed to have been handed over to Congress.   The loudest of the bunch has never voted in her life.  I also told them that if they're horrifed at the thought of Trump well that's exactly how horrifed conservatives were at the thought of Obama as president. How'd that work out.

The left swung WAY too far left, Hillary's agenda was going to keep the pendulum stuck there. I feel if she had a more conservative liberal approach things may have worked better for her. I'm die hard Trump, this is just my observation. These young kids that supported Hillary, (NOT defending their choice) but this is what they knew and have been trained in schools and college. Common core must be repealed and power given to the States. REAL history must be taught, and folks need to get started writing some great literature that is youth friendly about the Trump's Triumph and how Americans took back their country- we are the majoryt no matter what the media has portrayed the past 8 years.. To the person that commented "I want what your smoking" when I said Americans would step up and elect Trump - I was praying with the rest of those who elected him. God BLESSED the USA and I am glad to look at the American flag today the same way I did when I was a kid and cant wait to watch the news when Trump is on office "the HONEST news" with the rest of America.

I am not going to our union council meeting tonight for this exact reason. I have absolutely NO appetite to listen to them all whine about how the election turned out.

This will be my last term as a council rep, I guess I am/WAS in the dark, I had NO IDEA how LIBERAL the unions are.

To the person that thinks Colleges and schools teach liberalism, think again! Im a College Professor and voted a straight Rep. ticket. And when my students asked me about who to vote for I said reasrch Bengazi and 33,000 email that were earsed and tell me who think should be President. I didnt tell them who to vote for, I just told them to do some rearch before they voted.

Its amazing how ill informed most of the Hillary supporters are.  Listening to them talk you would think they get all their political information from late night talk shows, then they make fun of people who listen to Fox.
