Location: Southern Alabama | UPDATE - We may have found her. A friend of mine has a friend that says she recognizes the mare at the barn she boards at. She is going to take pictures and dig some more information when she goes back to the barn this weekend. |

Location: Southern Alabama | Still no more leads. I did hear, that the people that own her now, are going to start running her soon. So, she will turn up. I got the hounds on the trail. |

I'm headed down to FL for a decent-sized race this weekend, I'll do some poking around and see if I can find out anything! |

You're a saint! ?The mare has a small scar on her right hock, on the outside.... you won't notice it unless you are looking for it. And, on the left side of her cheek, she has a lump about the size of a nickel and about 1/2 an inch high. It's a calcium deposit. |

Location: Arkansas | Don't you dare get discouraged--I just asked God to cover all the human and animal needs that folks have posted on BHW that I may have forgotten to pray for lately. And this was before I read your update. So He has His hand covering our board. And our FL buddies are looking, so keep your chin up and know folks are still wanting to put you and Lexi together. |

Thank you, so much! It's just so heart wrenching... I should have never sold her. I have really been kicking myself lately over it. I just want to know she is safe and loved and healthy and taken care of. And, if they wanna sell, I'll give them what they want for her. I know that might sound crazy, to possibly give someone more money for a horse, than they are worth. But, this mare is very special to me. She was bought for me by my ex, my son's father, who recently passed away from cancer. I wanted this mare to go to my son, later down the road. |

I am so sorry for all that you've been going thru lately. I can only imagine what it would mean to get Lexi back with you and your son, and I'll continue to pray for this. . . . |

Location: SE KS | I checked AQHA records to see if they have been updated, but have not!!
Just a thought here, but if her pedigree is on allbreed, you might
ad your info to it, in the event that someone is looking her info up
they would see it!!

Location: Georgia | So I have to ask....I saw a photo on Candice's facebook where she had several before and after pictures of Lexi. It would seem that Lexi was fairly underweight before Candice bought her. Based on what I've read in this thread, I think she purchased Lexi from you. Correct? If I had bought a skinny horse and I had grew fond of, I dont think I would be offering her back to that person who let her get skinny. I know there are two sides to every story....just trying to clear this up.

Location: Georgia | Also Candice's initial post on FB after buying Lexi back in Sept 2014. (Posted along with a video)
Here is Lexi a 5 year old "" WILD horse which is too hard to catch"".. so says the previous owner . I did witness on the day I picked her up which was yesterday she was hard to catch and a frisky, bolting and bucking out . She would not let them get within 10 feet of her, she would bolt away from them !!! It took 2 people to lasso a rope around her neck from about 10 feet away. Once she was caught it took 2 people to hold and halter her because she was tossing and throwing her head. Because of this she was up for sale for next to nothing..I have to admit I was a bit nervous and thinking what the Heck did I get myself into .However this horse has an outstanding pedigree.. and I believe she needs a fresh start. Pedigree ...Streaking Six, Dash for Cash, Jet Deck, Go man Go, Sun Wind and Firewater.. She was shipped down here from Canada and set in a pasture for 2 years with minimal handling. This is myself working with her today in an open field of 10 acres. She must have been extremely unhappy at her previous home because this girl is NOT WILD by no means..Here she is one day later with her new home and new mommy.. And yes she is about 150 lbs under weight but not for long.. |

Location: Georgia | So I'll go ahead and let the cat out of the bag. I know who owns this mare. But I would first like the know what the OP's intentions are before I release this persons name. Are you going to try to buy this mare? And if so, are you capable of taking care of her properly? |
