My first car was an older Ford Focus. It was great, never had any problems. Then I got a 2010 Mazda3, it was 3 years old when I bought it. Also great, never had problems, but I totaled it. It surprisingly protected me really well. I flipped over a guard rail, rolled three times down a steep hill and hit a tree. The driver side was what hit the tree. My car was absolutely smushed. I didn't have a single scratch and wasn't even sore the next day.

So I used what I got from the insurance company to get a brand new (at the time) Mazda3, so it's a 2015. So far so good, although my bad luck follows me like the plague and I've cosmetically screwed it up 3 times now (backed into something, took the passenger mirror off, then got hit in a parking lot - which was truly not my fault, I was stopped behind another car with no where to go a truck backed out of a parking spot right into me). My friends say I either need a tank, or a chauffeur. I spun out and went in the ditch two weeks ago when it snowed, but thankfully it didn't damage anything haha.

The only thing about a sedan is if you have kids or are in and out of your backseat a lot it would be a pain. They also don't handle snow well, but I don't get a lot of snow where I live. It gets really good gas mileage, I commute 30 miles to work, then 30 miles back, then an extra 7 miles to my parents to take care of my horses. So my car goes about 75 miles everyday. I typically gas up twice a week.

My mom has a chevy equinox and its a great car too, but I'm not sure about gas mileage.

My boyfriend drives a Mazda3 back and forth to college. Its a "touring" so it has leather seats and all the other goodies. I've drove it a few times and it drives really nice. Not much road noise which I like. I'm getting a 2016 Mazda CX5 in a few days and I'm pretty excited about it. It'll be my first SUV and I cant wait lol.

My '06 Camry is getting a little rough around the edges these days...
Looking for something new to me, likely used with lower miles.
I think I'd like a crossover, definitely not a big SUV. Maybe even something sporty. Not a truck.
What do y'all drive and love??

I have an 07 camry SS and I LOOOOOOOVVVVEEE it. It has 248XXX miles on it and it is so so reliable. I want to buy another one but I'm going to wait till this one quits driving... 300,000 miles maybe? I bought it just to drive to college and have a run around car that isnt too nice (Don't get me wrong, its nice. Leather, heated seats, AUX , blue tooth, calling etc). I want another one, similar year and just a little less miles.

Image may contain: car I bought this MKX last fall and just LOVE it! I had a Murano that I really liked but it was getting to where it needed a bunch of maintenance done and reliabilty was getting to be a issue.   Only complaint is that Matthew McConaughey didn't come with it LOL   Big enough to haul a bunch of junk in the back and actually gets decent mileage also.

2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee (diesel) I absolutely love it and can't imagine going back to a truck! Easy to drive in town, good on our terrible Alberta winter roads, lots of room for groceries. I can't say enough good things about it :
