I've never wasted much time comparing presidential vacation habits.  To me, it's silly and a waste of time, like comparing apples to oranges.  The reality is that no POTUS is ever on vacation, not at least the way we think of vacations, and that's something none of us can even begin to understand.  I can give countless examples of presidents dealing with critical issues while on "vacation".  It's something I daresay none of us can even begin to imagine.  For example, FDR literally went on a fishing excursion to the Galápagos Islands and fished from the deck of a battle cruiser.  That was a working vacation....they ALL are.  Whether it's a weekend retreat to Camp David, a trip to a president's home in Hawaii, San Clemente, Texas, or Palm Beach, or a tour of the Taj Mahal, half way around the world, they are all working vacations. Of all the things to get all huffy about, this is the least of my concerns, and we can all rest assured, regardless of what they say, presidents don't give a dam about the cost of their vacations, and they never will.  Just so people understand, very few people could withstand the rigors of being the most powerful person on the planet.  They don't punch a clock.  They don't get afternoons off.  They sure as hell don't get vacations.  FDR met with world leaders and generals while on vacation.  JFK conferred with Eisenhower about the Bay of Pigs catastrophe while vacationing at Camp David.  LBJ did a lot of his work from his ranch while on vacation, as did Reagan, and George W Bush.  At any given moment, day or night, they can receive word of a crisis from anywhere around the world.  Just living on any given day with the potential to have to make a decision that could effect the lives of millions of people, literally within minutes, tells me they can and should be able to "vacation" anywhere they dam well please.  I think this is a silly topic.
As far as gaining wealth after serving as president, someone said in an earlier post that all presidents leave office with considerable more wealth than what they were worth going in, that may be true, with the exception of Donald Trump.  Depending on who you read, Trump was worth an estimated $3.5-3.7 when he was sworn in.  The latest estimates I've read is that his net worth is now around $2.1 billion.  Whatever the exact numbers, I think it's safe to say that Donald Trump's net worth is well over $1 billion less than it was before he took this job, and all the sh!t thrown at him, and a job where he donated every penny he earned in salary back to the USA.  No president has paid a financial price for being POTUS like Trump.  Nothing even close.  That's just a fact. As far as accomplishments, I don't give two sh!ts what a president says.  What matters most to me is what he actually DOES while in office.

Whether you like his agenda or not, it's very hard to ignore his record in terms of delivering on promises:

1.) Tax cuts

2.) Replaced NAFTA with USMCA

3.) Opened up ANWR for oil drilling.

4.) Cleared the way for Keystone and Dakota Access pipeline.

5.) US became a net exporter of oil for the first time in history.

6.) In spite of fierce resistance, he has managed to get nearly 500 miles of that wall built (yeah, I know, we had "barriers" over much of that stretch...like barbed wires and cyclone fences).  We don't hear much whining about the wall these days.

7.) After 3 previous presidents promised and failed to deliver, he moved the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

8.) Crushed ISIS

9.) Targeted and whacked terrorist leaders with precision, without civilian casualties, like Soleimani and Al Baghdadi.

10.) Sent a clear message to Russia and Syria's Assad about gassing Syrian civilians by sending 38 cruise missiles to take out one of Assad's largest airports. He warned them, but they had to learn the hard way that they weren't dealing with Obama anymore.
11.) Cut the number of US servicemen by more than 50% in Iraq and Afghanistan, against the advice of many top military experts.  

12.) Instituted a travel ban from countries he felt harbored terrorists who posed a threat to the US.

13.) Called out NATO countries and got them to finally pony up their agreed upon share of NATO defense spending.

14.) Delivered on his promise to rollback regulations that were judged to be needless impediments to industry and the economy. 
15.) Got 3 SCOTUS justices confirmed who were in the mold of Scalia, and another 300 conservative federal judges. 

16.) Delivered on his promises to African Americans- lowest unemployment rate in history, opportunity zones, and the First Step Act.

17.) Withdrew us from the TPP, Paris Climate Accord, Iran Nuclear Deal....all promised, all delivered.

18.) Got rid of ObamaCare mandate. 
19.) "Right to Try" legislation.

20.) Systematically addressed deficiencies in our national defense. 

Now did he get absolutely everything he promised?  Nope....for example, we still have Obamunist Care, thanks to John McCain. Do we all like his accomplishments?  Obviously not, but the guy came dam close.  No president that I can recall has delivered on his agenda in such a short timespan the way Trump did.  Has he lied?  Absolutely.  For example, his tax cuts weren't the largest in history.  I think there were a couple that might have been larger.  Also, he said we would have a vaccine in a year....he lied about that - we had one in 9 months.  Ah but yes, the orange man is bad, because he exaggerates, lies, uses bad language, and makes up bad mean nicknames.  Before Trump we never had a president lie.

At least we are making a difference in the lives of the Sudanese people, since we are handing them $700 million. Might as well give it to Sudan for their businesses..

Lord knows there are no businesses left in New York and LA.
