It takes years to research and develop a vaccine
That's why my friends and I are not going to have phizer vaccinations. If you have no side effects after the covid vaccination, this doesn't mean they will not appear in a year. I don't want to feel like a science experiment. |

| I received the Pfizer vaccine. I got my second dose 3 weeks ago. I work in an emergency room, I saw many people die from COVID and COVID alone of ALL ages. We don't know the long term effects of COVID so I'd rather take my chance on the vaccine than the virus that I've seen kill people with my own eyes. Every ER doc I work with also received the vaccine, and I trust them a whole lot more than a bunch of internet conspiracy theorists. I have a different perspective than most people though since I've seen the tragedies it causes. |

| Gsdknox44 - 2021-01-21 10:20 AM I received the Pfizer vaccine. Covid hasn't effected any one in my family and we never quarantined from each other. It has killed a man my husband works with and 3 of his family, however they all had multiple serious medical conditions before Covid. My dad will 90 this year and mom will be 80. Both are VERY active. Dad still works on the farm cutting hay and working cattle and doing repairs. Mom helps 2 days a week watching her very active great grandson. My son and husband work "essential" jobs(boy, I hate that term, all jobs are essential for the people who hold them) and are fine. Neighbor man and wife down the toad got Covid- the wife who had just had major back surgery went immediately to the hospital and recovered just fine, her husband did the man thing and refused to go. He almost died but is recovering now. Both are in their late 70's. The few we know who got it either never got sick or had some symptoms but recovered and didn't go to the hospital. One guy who got it early on drove to Dallas to get with a doctor who prescribed hydroxychloroquine and Z pack and he said with 4 hours he felt fine. Before he was having some trouble breathing. So based on MY experience, no I am going to wait before I get vaccinated. Besides, my dad went to get his vaccine and the line was a over a mile long. He sat for awhile but left. Later we found out the 5000 vaccines never even made to our county, they were sent somewhere else. So there is that too. I can't believe I hit 43 for that man's family that died. It was 3.

Location: Nebraska | I plan on getting it, but I'm low risk and definitely not a priority. When the people who need to vaccine have gotten it, I'll be signing up. But in the meantime, I'm fine staying out of crowded areas and wearing a mask to block moisture that may escape my mouth and nose. A minor annoyance is a very small price to pay if it helps other people stay healthy, in my opinion. It's a no-brainer. My great-aunt got the first round of the Moderna vaccine last week! No side effects reported. She lost her eldest sister to the virus back in May and her husband died of complications caused by the virus on NYE. She tested positive as well and the entire family was worried that she wasn't going to make it since she is going through chemotherapy and she has a pacemaker. But according to the doctors, she recovered from COVID a couple weeks ago. Crossing my fingers... |

Location: Blissfully happy Giants fan!!! | To be perfectly honest, I have had more people I personally know or family of friends I personally know (not just FB friends) die from COVID complications within the last week. My neighbor has now had COVID twice and was hospitalized twice because she literally could not breathe. She is young (30's) with kids and no major medical issues as well. So that does concern me as far as the virus and how it is mutating. This is also part of why we are not getting the vaccine-I think this thing is mutating so what then? Do you just keep getting shots? My husband (who is a cop) and I are not getting the vaccine. We are healthy and do not believe it is worth taking. I realize that the way this vaccine is being created is different than a flu shot but I don't get the flu shot and haven't (maybe when I was young, like 5) but never as an adult and I have never had the flu. I rarely get sick. Also, I think there are a ton of things I just can't seem to fnd the answer to for long term effects. I don't think I am going to grow a third eye, but do you really know if your immune system won't be compromised in any shape or form? Will it not subject you to other side effects? This one is a stretch, but will you be at an increased risk for something, say cancer? I just don't believe there has been adequate analysis to weight short term and long term effects. That all said, I can absolutely understand and appreciate those with compromised systems needing and getting the shot, but don't believe it is in my best interest. |

| today amazon pulled politics over its consumers it offered biden help distibution but did not trump i make a promise now which is tough not to shop unless last resort i am only 1 but this is so wrong nothing bbut politic "We are prepared to move quickly once vaccines are available," he wrote. Amazon representative Jodi Seth said the company had been “in touch” last month with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Trump administration's Department of Health and Human Services. But she gave no indication that Amazon had extended a similar offer directly to President Donald Trump. Clark had also asked the CDC last month that employees working at Amazon fulfillment centers, Amazon Web Services data centers and Whole Foods Market stores "who cannot work from home" receive the vaccine "at the earliest appropriate time." He made the same request that Amazon's workers be vaccinated to the Biden administration. no i am not getting vaccine |

| For those of you intersted in researching more about COVID and the vaccine here is a great talk from an ER Doc. I know we all get inundated with information, but I would highly recommend watching.

| I decided to watch CNN last night before bed to see all the great things Biden is up to.... well... all I heard was the continuing bashing of President Trump and how its his fault Covid is still out of control. I'm not even remotely exaggerating here. I fell asleep and was woken up a few hours later, TV was still on CNN, different news anchor, same ol story.... President Trumps fault.... blame blame blame .... but nothing good about the Biden administration and how he's going to fix anything or what he's actually doing. It was all about Trump and his apparent crimes against the American people for January 6th "RIOTS" they were literally whining that he will probably get acquitted because the " Trumplicans" are brainwashed, that's what they kept referring to us conservatives as.. "Trumplicans" ... but it in the next sentence they coo about how Biden is trying to unite us all... my God, the irony ..... They quoted Biden saying the impeachment MUST HAPPEN even though it may interfere with his job at hand ... you know, uniting us and fixing all the screw ups the Trump administration did. I tried to watch with an open mind, I really did. |

Location: Ky | My wife got the second shot 3 weeks ago. She had a few side effects after the second shot. Felt tired all day then felt like she had a fever the second night. 2 days later she was fine. I was able to get the first shot a week ago. No side effects at all. Not even arm soreness. 2 more weeks and I get shot number 2. Seems among our friends and family that have taken the vaccine about half had some side effects after the second shot. None have had side effects after the first shot. |

Location: Oklahoma | I will not be getting the vaccine. This virus has a high survival rate. The majority of the deaths were with people that had underlying health issues. Since Covid the flu has all but disappeared. I will not let my children get this vaccine either. There has not been enough testing. Nor has it been around long enough to see short and long term effects. |

Location: Randolph, Utah | My mom is getting the vaccine today. I'm not sure I'm 100% on board with it, but she's not very healthy and overweight. It's probably a good thing for her to get it. I just hope she doesn't have any adverse reactions to it. She put my dad on the list and he said no, at least not right now.
