Very cool program. Hailey mentioned it in her interview with the Money Barrel.
I missed that part about the interview with Hailey, I was hoping someone would bring up the Honor Tags Was the interview during the Tail Gate party? Hope you are feeling Better Gail, or you planning on going at all to the NFR? I got the NRF on my Bucket list, would love to go at least once just to get the feel of it, but love watching on Cowboy Channel now that they have taking it all on, we get to see so darn much of behind the scenes so to me thats a big plus. |

I love watching the Wright Boys, they make things really ramp up during the rough stock ... And happy to see Wade Sundell hanging out with his buddys. Ty Murray watching sitting with the crowd was really cool too. |

The barrel racing has come so far at the NFR but the fact the network still doesn't delve into this aspect tells me we have much further to go. |

Someone explain how Stetgot a score. Both legs were on the same side of the bull and his butt was off the bull's back at 7.9. He did not make the whistle. He was simply hung up for a second. |

They were saying as long as hes got his hand in his wrap/rope he still gets a score. I kinda though the same thing how did he still get a score but after watching that ride a few more times he did have his hand in his wrap/rope still and he did look a bit hung up but the Judges say he rode the 8 seconds so no argument from me I'm no judge, lol.. |

| Probably would have suffered some backlash from the crowd if he didn't score on that 3rd ride. I was thinking the same as above posters .... they didn't spend much time on it... needed to move on I reckon. Oh well.. I'm glad he got to finally make it to the buzzer |

It's plain wrong. If that was the case, every bull rider that gets hung up would get a time. That's cheating. Josh Frost was the only rider that made it to 8. If going down on one knee was cause for a reride in rough stock, everyone at Pendleton would get rerides. Nobody cares when the barrel horses have ground trouble. Wasn't Stetson's fault, but I guess I think he should have manned up and said he didn't make the whistle. I'm super disappointed in the whole thing. |

The thing is that only the judges know what their stopwatchs said. The clock we see running on TV is not the official time. |

Additionally.... the rule IS ..... as long as his feet nevers touches the ground R9.6.2 Requirements for Marking. If rider makes qualified ride with any part of rope in riding hand, he is to be marked |

Rough stock riders get rerides all the time for any little stumble or even if the horse doesn't buck hard enough. It happens at the NFR all the time, yet the timed event boys hardly ever get a rerun. I have seen many times a hung up bull rider get a score as long as his hand is still on his rope and his feet aren't on the ground, where their butt is has never been a factor. I have seen a bull rider still on the bull but his hand is blown out of his rope not get a score just because his hand was not on his rope. Stetson's hand was still in his rope and feet hadn't hit the ground, so scoring him was right according to the rules. |

Exactly, the judges have the stop watch and they say he was there for the 8. The rule that if the animal stumbles and goes to the their knee is a re-ride is a newer rule. Stetson deserved everyone of those re-rides. Do I think it was a 90 point ride, no, but in rodeo you take the gifts because the next call could go the other way. No matter how you look at it that kid is all heart, try and a total bad ass! |

Agreeed!!!!! what we see from sitting on our couches while watching on TV and what the Judges see while standing right there at the NFR with the rough stock are two different things, I'll take the Judges views/calls. The Wright Boys are really all about True Grit!!!! Heck all the Rough Stock riders are tough as Nails and have alot of respect for them all.. |

This is my question too! I thought for sure that Rosa would be her main mount this year. I have seen many videos of Lisa this year on Rosa and it seemed like they had their timing together and she was able to get her past the barrels now. I keep hoping to see her. |

| Ya'll are complaining about rerides etc. I remember a few years ago when someone drugged Cody Ohl's calf and it came out of the chute and just fell down. Somehow he got a rope on the thing and when he picked it up it could not stand. It was very obvious that the calf was drugged and I think a blood test was run after the rodeo and did confirm that. No one offered to give him a new calf. It cost him the world championship. |
