Calangelo - 2014-07-17 11:54 AM I get what Christy's saying.  I've been making a concerted effort to live by the "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" motto.  It's hard, and I fail a lot, but when I don't fail I feel good, and the more positive I am the better I feel.
I look at things differntly. I would rather hear the truth then have butterflies blown up my butt. I never appreciated someone coming up and telling me I had a great run when I had a bad one. I liked the person that came up and said it the way it was. In sports, just like in life, there are winners and losers. How can the losers ever become winners without someone telling them the truth?

How is saying nothing blowing smoke up someone's @ss?  When I am asked for my opinion then I give an honest answer, and my friends and family are well aware of that!   Otherwise, I prefer to keep my mouth shut.  I don't like getting unsolicited advice and I don't want to be the one giving it either.

Yes
OK, another question--is there a place to see the day sheets and find out who's running what day? I'm excited to see how Christine Laughlin does--she's really doing great this year!
No- but they generally run slowest to fastest from slack throughout the week.  So you could go through the times of the 96 qualifiers and figure out which 12 will be running starting with the slowest times running on the 19th and progressing through the faster times throughout the 26th.  That will be the second go.  And then the fastest 12 from the average of the two gos will run at the Finals on the 27th.

This is true other than the trades, some people will run sooner and some will run later than their original draw.  The qualifiers had an hour after the draw to trade for a different day.

AllAroundRider - 2014-07-17 3:34 PM I didn't see anything wrong with the post, it was just a statement of opinion. People talk about other people at all levels, just take a trip out back at any race you will get to hear all sorts of tid bits. But if I had a horse good enough to hang with the big dogs and be out there chasing the dream there wouldn't be a dang thing someone could say about me and my bad self that I would care about! Seriously, I wonder if any of them really give two cents what us arm chair jocks have to say about their sense of style or if they had a bad run?

i am so with you

personally i have not read anything negative on comments  comments on comments lots of negativity

i don/t understand tatoes or people that are 1 foot up in the air doing the splits coming home i think is bad riding but i keep my mouth just

i sure don/t see these women who are the cream doing that i just love watching them

allaboutme - 2014-07-17 11:55 AM  This is not the placed to be schooled on peoples opinion C.Loflin especially by you... It's a public forum and if someone doesn't care for FT for whatever reason, or what she wore...  it's up to them, I'm glad you like her (not many people do) but again it's their right...
Please show me where Christy said that others cannot voice their opinion...??? NOWHERE!

Perhaps it was THIS statement pointed towards SKM's earlier post

"if they cracked out a 4 year old or rocked orange pants they were busy being awesome while others were busy being negative. Enough said."

Just saying.........I would venture to say that is the statement that they are referring to when saying "schooling people's opinions" ?

Duke zig zagged from barrel 1 to 2 at our local prca when he was young. We know how he turned out! lol.  Part of it, just glad shes a hand and able to stick with them and have the patience of seasoning, going down the road day after day and turning out winners every year for our enjoyment. I admire them greatly, if only for the fact that traveling constantly is not for the faint at heart or sissies for that matter.

I was in there last year to check to see if my wife made it back while she was taking care of her horse and I told her it was the most chaotic half hour I had ever seen! lol It was entertaining to watch!  I stayed with the horses this year while she went to trade.  I can feel for the roper!
