Another illustration of my point is South Central L.A. Rodney King Riots. Any one besides me remember who was responsible for rioting then?
The failure to bring charges when it was all caught on video.. |

| I just wish people would stop considering who was white/black and just consider the facts and actions of each party involved.
I don't know what they are trying to prove with the looting/rioting. It proves the exact opposite of their intention. They are making themselves look like fools. |

Not only do they look like fools, they just destroyed the livelyhoods of people that had nothing to do with what happened. The only message that sends is that, if they don't like the outcome of a certain situation, they just might have to destroy everything around them to make sure the misery is equally shared. makes no sense at all. |

The one thing they got right was releasing the verdict time. I'm very thankful that the majority of the good were home and not able to be "picked off" returning home from their work locations. I hate that the Fire Fighters have to be in harms way. It's very difficult fighting fire and warding off bullets. And to the one that said...I'd be on the other side of the door with my gun...they would burn you out as soon as they knew you were there.
Many may never rebuild as insurance won't cover during civil unrest. |

I agree. Its such a shame to destroy your community which is already in distress... I hope they are happy with themselves. Justice was served yesterday. I personally think they should go around to every protestor and collect name, dob, address and then flag them in their system so when they have an emergency... responders can say dismiss their emergency because obviously they don't trust or respect LE. So apparently they can handle it better themselves. |

I agree. And take their a$$es to jail! With all the camera's everywhere you can pick up the fools that are rioting. And make them pay for the damage! I can't believe they are getting away with this. |

I had not heard about this. I would imagine that nothing much will come of this one. I will say that if boys/men would wear a good belt and pants that fit it would eliminate the need to grab the waistband of your pants, which in a split second could make anyone think you are going for a weapon, so you can run, get on the ground or whatever. It would save lives and reduce instances like this. Prehaps they need to start a "save a clip - cover your hip" movement. That might accomplish more than what some of these they are proposing. |

I agree with this I was just saying that there are so many cases like this that happens that We never hear about. |

| Michael Brown's mother was on the Today show this morning and her explanation for her husband's behavior was that he was emotional and passionate in the moment. |

| I can't think of any reason, in today's age of technology, that law enforcement shouldn't have a camera running for every citizen encounter. |

I am sure emotions were running very high at that moment. I have said many times I felt sorry for his parents (biologocal). I will say I was dissapointed with her display when the verdict was announced - she was in a very public location standing above everyone else and was sure to be seen. As for her husband - IMHO he was a part of inciting a riot and should be charged as such - but he will not be becuase that would send that town into another spiral. When he started yelling burn this b**** down that was a call for violence. |

Location: Missouri | I attended the Ferguson/Florissant school district, graduated in 1979 (I'm old). I grew up in that area and it used to be middle class/upper class area. It included black families then, it was not an "all white" neigborhood. Now I live a little over an hours drive from there. My parents moved out of that area a long time ago as well. It makes me sick to see what it has become. It makes me sick that they care so much about this 1 individual, however they don't give a crap about ALL the individuals in their own community, of their own race, that they are destroying in his name.
I would love to see the citizens of Ferguson get fed up and defend their property, as the law allows.
Now there will be more people without jobs, more poverty. It's embarrassing! |

He should be arrested and fined. I don't care if he was emotional, it's inexcusable behavior..funny, the kid acted a lot like him. Wonder where he learned to act like a thug?

Location: Baden, PA | VonDigger - 2014-11-24 9:57 PM I'm headed off to bed here. But I bet things are going to get rather interesting over the next few days. We all know Jackson and Sharpton are going to be milking this for all it's worth. Anonymos(SP) is going to be all up in arms. The New Black Panthers are going to be raising the bounty on Wilson as well as leveling threats against anyone that disagrees with them and the KKK is going to make counter threats to them. Many of the businesses that are being looted are going to just up and leave since what they had there is going to be destroyed not only by the locals but by the "protestors" that were shipped in from other locals. This is just the start of it, I bet by the end of tomorrow, there will be Riots in many major American cities.
It's a day late, but I think that last sentence is starting to come to fruition, much to my dismay. |
