I love that letter, my thoughts exactly. "Drop the mag, roll the bolt and grab a jack and coke." |

| I liked it, but as a movie thought Lone Survivor was much better. I loved the book though. And it certainly wasn't bad. The book just has so much more info, and there are some parts of the movie that are not true or "dramatized". Love Survivor I thought was a great movie. The best part of American Sniper for me was the real footage at the end. |

I've seen the movie twice and I am halfway through the book, obviously the movie couldn't have everything the book included, I've noticed the time line is a little different in the movie, but I think the movie accomplished what it needed too, even if some things were dramatized.
I held it together until the real footage at the end, then I teared up. I cant even imagine surviving all the thing's he did to be murdered trying to help another Vet. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | My mom saw it Saturday and told me not to see it. She said the emotion was so intense she nearly threw up and then couldn't stop crying. Um, no thank you, think I will pass on having my guts ripped out for fun. |

Location: A Higher Elevation | Saw the movie with my 19 yr old son who read the book. I haven't read the book yet, but Rylen said the movie stayed fairly true to the book. We both read Lone Survivor, then saw that movie when it came out.
LS is definitely more "action packed". There isn't much down time. AS really had to show the home time, family time stuff.
My XDH also went with us, has not seen LS. He's a combat veteran, we were married when he went off to war, and so it really hit home for us. I think he was thinking it was going to be more action, and less family dynamics. I want to talk to him about it again after it comes out on DVD and I buy it. No emotions to be shown in public, especially at a movie!! lol
I want to see Unbroken sometime soon.
Everyone should have LS & AS in their DVD collection!
