It looks like we are all going to go down our ol' familiar roads with our same rhetoric, same opinions same inability to discuss without reasoning. If for just once we'd shed those stupid letters R and D before our names, I bet we'd get a lot more accomplished.  Truly sad and amazing that some people and issues can't be held by their merits instead of what some late night comedy show spoon fed the public.   Â

I will never shed the D. I'm a yellow dog and proud of it. I've voted in every election since I was 18 years old and eligible. Doesn't matter if it's an uncontested primary. If the polls are open at my precinct then I'm there to vote. Always voted democrat except in non partision races and always will.

I agree. I have a firm belief in the common sense, middle ground. There is one among the people that don't buy into one sided news providers, fear mongering, and chest pounding. Right now, the extremes are running the show and will help drive the United States to ruin. | |

It never ceases to amaze me how stupid white people vote year after year. Right now we have a muslim for president and thinking about voting in a crook from Arkansas and adding another family member from a well known One World Order clan!!
A Christian and/or a successful business man that believes in our constitution shows up to run for president and all we hear is a lot of dissing and pettiness coming from all directions!!
The more the progressive democrat communists, liberal news media and old established GOP party hacks diss someone .. the more Americans should like this person and call out the entire nation to vote for him!!
TIME MAGAZINE ACCIDENTLY TOLD THE TRUTH ABOUT TED CRUZ AND WILL BE ON OBAMA'S REVENGE LIST ....
THANK YOU TIME MAGAZINE...
CRUZ IS WHAT AMERICANS HAVE BEEN PRAYING FOR!!
Be sure and read the entire article ... there is more text beyond the picture of Cruz >>

Because the democrat party is the party of the working men and women of this country. That is the foundation, the core. Now, do many get away from the foundation today? Yes, and they should be horse whipped for it.
The republican party has no basic foundation, no core, no soul. They are simply profiteers with a moving center. Whatever fits the bill today is where they will hang their hat.
That's the major reason they republicans can't govern. They can run a campaign because it's easy to rail against everything. Once they win they have to stand for something and they can't because they have a sand foundation.

So the democratic party is perfect and the republican party is 100% flawed. Wow. This line of thinking is truly sad. I'm pretty disgusted by the republicans but about 5% more disgusted by the democrats. Both parties are so out of touch with the current needs of the country. Both (BOTH) pander to donors - how could they not - so much that the ethical line hardly even exists anymore.
As far as Ted Cruz goes, if I were a democrat, MAN would I be praying he wins the party nomination because he will never be elected in a general election. NEVER. Supporting him will be paving the way for Hillary. The GOP needs someone electable for goodness sakes and they are just the group that will never realize it.

| Last time I looked, I was a woman. My family a long line of working class. The thing is, we don't buy into lies and posturing that the goverment can do something for our genders and or station in life that we can't do for ourselves. Is my belief based in sand? Maybe but it's better than the belief that someone else can do my thinking for me. | |

No offense, Bo Ma, but that's the same ol thing you folks said last go around, that it had to be Mitt b/c he was electable. Again, where's the proof? He garnered less votes than McCain from his party.

The Democrat party is not the party of the working man. That's a croc of Sh!t. The Democrat party is the party of the NON working man. The Democrat party is about power and socialism is their chief weapon and tool.
The Democrat party is about dividing this country any way it can.....race, religion, gender, class....you name it. The Democrat party is about malaise and misery and envy. The Democrat party is where racism got its roots in this country. The Democrat party does best when it can get government shackles around a group of people, such as blacks, or Native Americans. Democrats strategy is to capture large groups of voters this way. By offering government handouts and encouraging dependence they achieve their goal of enticing citizens to become addicted to dependence.....thus you have a group of monolithic lemmings who March in lock step. You very seldom see a Democrat harshly criticise another Democrat. They boast that they are the party to combat racism, yet racism is the exact tool they use to scare blacks, Latinos, and Native Americans. They proclaim that minorities should have lowered standards, under the guise of "fairness" and"opportunity". They use this soft bigotry of lowered expectations. The fact of the matter is the Democrat party needs racism to survive. Without being able to cry out "racism" they become irrelevant. That is the deciding edge for Democrats.
The Democrats were the segregationists in the 50s and 60s. Lyndon Johnson turned that around with his brilliant civil rights bill and "War on poverty". LBJ saved the Democrat party from itself. It was all a ruse. It was the Republicans who are largely responsible for the Civil Rights Act of 1965. Democrats boast of diversity and having a big tent, when, in fact, if you do not walk in lock step behind their talkiing points and platform, you are not welcome. In order to be a Democrat, you must be liberal. There is no such thing as a conservative Democrat on the national scene.
Democrats have seen the slow demise of the labor unions, mainly because of politics, thuggery, and corruption. They have to make up for this, as well as the gradual emergence of bold, conservative, African Americans. The War on Women and illegal immigration is their latest front.
Now, as to Republicans? I have plenty of criticism, but I'll hold off for now, since I've already gone on too long.

Location: I can see the end of the world from here! | For the first time in my life I see people actually talking about & arguing the Constitution!!! THAT makes me excited & gives me hope. Even when they don't get it quite right...at least they're considering it again.
The democrats are not the 'foundation' of this country any more than the republicans are. Our foundation is that very simple, nonchanging document...the one our elected officials & employees from leo's on up, take an oath to...an unchanging document. We fought the Revolutionary War to free us from the bondage of a Monarchy...NOT to create another one! We have forgotten why our ancestors came here...we've fallen victim to politics (lies & deceit).
I wish with all my heart that we had someone who would lead us to greatness once again...someone who could help us see that our Nation isn't about "what's in it for me?", but, rather, "what can we do to be that country that all others want to emulate? Because we're free to make all the wrong choices & choose not to because our laws make us responsible for our own actions...with grace". (Not what we 'might' do). I've yet to see anyone without an agenda. Be it pretending goodness or shoving rightness down our throats...d's & r's. No difference.
I keep saying and won't stop...States Rights are the only means to move beyond the federal chokehold that is killing this country in every way.

That's the major reason they republicans can't govern. They can run a campaign because it's easy to rail against everything. Once they win they have to stand for something and they can't because they have a sand foundation.
Before anyone gets bent out of shape, I was asked "why?" The Democrat party is not the party of the working man.

I will never shed the D. I'm a yellow dog and proud of it. I've voted in every election since I was 18 years old and eligible. Doesn't matter if it's an uncontested primary. If the polls are open at my precinct then I'm there to vote. Always voted democrat except in non partision races and always will. Why? Â
