Location: Canada | I am so incredibly disgusted by a comment that she needs to lose weight. Whether you like her or not she's got the qualifications and world titles to back her abilities. She is a role model to many barrel racers both young and old and if I had a daughter and had to choose between her wanting to be some waif like actress who starves herself thin or a woman like Fallon Taylor who is slender and FIT then FT would win hands down every time.
If you have ever seen her snap chats or watched her in anything she's always saying to improve yourself and never stop learning. She continually says she's learning how to be a better rider/owner to her horses and I think that alone is admirable.
I was not a Fallon Taylor fan but in the last two years I've gained a lot of respect for the woman. She may not be every ones cup of tea but how she inspires a lot of people and encourages people that being different is okay - that is someone who deserves some respect.

SKM - 2016-06-26 11:05 AM I'm hoping her wild riding is a thing of the past. At the one ERA her foot got stuck up in the cantle on first. She was forced to sit quiet and ride since she was stuck. It was her best time. She said that she was going to start trying to ride quieter.
Why would anyone want to go to one of her clinics or send their child to one to learn how to ride like that?? It just blows my mind.
I agree with Frodo, she either needs a bigger horse or needs to lose weight. Weight loss combined with better, quieter riding would really help her.
Flame away........I just cringe everytime I see someone ride like that, I don't care how fast or who they are.
hotpaints you are totally right.
If Fallon would just lose all those extra pounds... Then she would be successful.... maybe even qualify for the NFR or something.

| Imagine what could happen if all of the negative energy on this thread was channeled into something positive, like building fellow barrel racers up instead of tearing them down. None of us are perfect and I have a huge amount of respect for people who can realize what they're doing wrong and do everything possible to correct it, for the betterment of themselves and their horses.Oh and honestly, if FT is overweight, I must be a blubbery beached whale. |

Hotpaints... feel free to post pictures of yourself, accomplishments, wardrobe, etc. so we can see what makes you so **** perfect. Maybe then we can understand how someone can think they are so entitled as to rip someone down like that. I don't know FT personally accept what I see on the media but I do know that NO ONE deserves to be bullied online. You are nothing but a bully. One thing I have learned from FT is that usually bullys are negative because there life is negative. So I ask again, what makes you so **** perfect? Or what is in your life that has made you so openly hateful.
People are their own worst critics and don't need assistance from someone like you. Have you ever been to a clinic? Watched any of the clips from it? I had a friend go to her clinic and she posted a drill on fb and I found it super beneficial. Just because you don't ride like FT doesn't mean you cant learn something from her. We all have different styles. I hope whatever happened to you in your life that created this monster was worth it because you really really need a reality check. |

I did not agree with your loud riding style and training techniques. But it got the job done. The past year I have watched you take every snide, nasty, mean and hateful comment and turn it into a positive life experience. Gracefully and respectively. You didn't lash back. You didn't bash. For that, I applaud and respect you. As far as weight goes, if you're happy and healthy, who cares what your weight is and who cares what others think.
