Yes. After I took that class I'm not going to keep it in my purse. I'm going to find a holster that I can keep on me. That was suggested by the instructor. Makes perfect sense!

Anyone have any suggestions on holsters? I've been scouring the internet looking at different types, it's a little overwhelming to be honest! 

Holsters are like saddles, there are a ton of em to choose from. All about personal fit and preference. 

I have custom made gun belt and SOB (small of back) holster for My CC weapon from a local leather work. One of the best investments I have made in years! 

I am not an expert on guns and I have never played one on TV either.  I have a Sig P290RS that I carry all the time when I'm away from home.  This gun has such a stiff trigger, I'm very comfortable with it not having a safety.  There's no way in h*ll the trigger will be pulled accidently.

It's actually want2chase3's husband that did so well!!!   I haven't gone the pistol route yet; my parents both have their permits and Sean is on me quite frequently about getting ours since we do travel often. . . (I'm afraid I couldn't but the broad side of a barn with one--I'm more use to rifles!!)

Here comes the wild scary dreams... ugh. Someone please tell me this is normal! I'm trying to defend myself and my gun wont fire, my bullets just fall to the ground lol! Doesnt help my hubby has been gone all week so it's just been my 3 kids and I at home. I dont sleep well at all when hes gone, I'm constantly up, checking doors and looking out the windows. We live way out in the country. I'm wanting to teach my kids a plan in case something ever went down... their rooms are on the other side of the house from my bedroom I know my big lab would let me know if someone was outside trying to get in.  Obviously I need to get more confidence with the pistol, I've got "big Bertha " right by my bed, (shotgun) but these dreams are making me crazy!! I guess it was those 911 recordings we listened to in the LTC class about peoples homes being infiltrated and these people having to shoot the intruders. Scared the crud outta me! 

Get you some Solar motion sensor outdoor lights and put up a few around your house, I have them up around my house and chicken pen, I have a big coyote problem and this has really help keeping them out of the yard and I would think if anyone was snooping around and a light hit them they would not stick around.. 

That's a great idea. I definitely need to do this on the sides of my home and it wouldn't hurt to do the chicken coop. We got hit pretty hard not too long ago by coyotes.. got a mess of my chickens and my guard goose. The coop gate didnt get secured all the way and they pushed their way in. 

 Take a woman's self defence class.Find someone that includes using firearms.You will find that having big berths next to your bed could be useless.A self defence class will give you several different ways to deal with different situations,including protecting yourself without a firearm if you can't get to it.

There was actually a lady in my ltc class and she told us a story about how she had been assaulted in a rest stop by a very large man. She told us she was trained in MMA and he grabbed her from behind she elbowed him and dropped him, she then put him in a choke hold till he passed out. She put his hands behind his back and sat on him until someone came along... turns out when the cops got there they ended up arresting her for assault! She said the magistrate ended up dropping all the charges on her when she told him the story. She was in the class to get her concealed AND get the Texas Law Shield insurance so she will be protected while shes protecting herself! 

Its here! I am in love with this gun! It feels so good in my hand. Cant wait to fire this baby tomorrow!
