Go Get Em!

Location: OH. IO | WANNACOWBOY - 2010-08-22 5:14 PM Ok, went to hospital didnt get to see Chelsea because the parents were getting their classes on how to take care of her and they were not allowing visitors. However spoke with Candy (sally roommate) and she said Chelsea was doing better today. She had eyes open, they were putting her in a special chair and learning to give her bath, etc. Still not sure if she has recognition of everything or just in spurts. It is my understanding that tomorrow they will move her to a room and someone has to be with her 24/7. Members of my church are going to try and give them some relief so they can take care of their needs. Also, some encouraging words, cards etc would be appreciated as the road to recovery is going to be long. As I am writing this I cant help but think of the note I gave Sally last week telling her that when we are at the lowest point of defeat we have never been so close to our greatest victory. I cannot tell you how happy I was to share this news with my church family and my BHW family today and seeing the power of prayer firsthand is a great feeling. Eventhough you know God answers prayer it is refreshing and a recharge for my faith to experience it this close. Will take the computer to hospital tomorrow and let Sally read everything. THANK YOU for this update, prayers to you also, this is a very trying time for this family, they will need continued help for a long time,if there is anything that can help this family it will be the power of prayer, hugs to you,and thanks for sharing chelseas recovery with us,she is in our hearts and in our prayers. |

Location: BOSSIER CITY, LA | UPDATE: Just got back from visiting with Sally, please keep prayers coming. It is going to be a long road ahead for the family and Chelsea. She is still in ICU and will stay there most of the week. Please pray for Sally as she is learning to take care of Chelsea in this physical state. The wear and tear is starting to get to her. |

Location: BOSSIER CITY, LA | ok, let me clarify. She is not going home, it is my understanding that the hospital is teaching them this so she can move to the floor and the family will be responsible for taking care of her due to over population of hospital. They are hopeful that as soon as she can follow commands she will go to rehab facility. Please pray for Sally and Scott (Chelsea dad) as they are divorced and this is causing a strain on them both. Dont want to go into lots of detail on a public board but they need the prayers. |

Location: Near San Antonio, TX | Thank you for the updates, this family will continue to be in my prayers. This must be so very hard on everyone involved. I keep checking this thread multiple times daily hoping for good news! There will be ups and downs, I pray for more ups thank downs! I am so glad she gave a thumbs up. I pray for strength for both her mom and her dad. I imagine that the stress makes everyone very short. May God keep his loving arms around them all. |
