Location: Louisiana | Sonja, that is a very promising update. Thank you! How funny that she is "clucking". I wonder if that means, "hurry up!" I am going to visit with Chelsea and Sally today and will give Sally the money we have raised here at BHW. I'm going to stop by WalMart and get a couple of Visa gift cards that she can use for gas and will give her the rest in cash. I'm looking forward to seeing them! Will update this evening. |

| so glad to hear of the progress!!! I'm sure the clucking is to hurry up and I bet that hug she gave her mom was wonderful for both of them! Hope the move goes well and that rehab makes all the difference that she needs! Continued prayers. |

Location: Louisiana | I posted this on the other thread but thought I should put it here, too. I just got home from visiting with Chelsea and her mom and delivering our BHW donations. WE, meaning we here at BHW, collected over $600 for them! I gave Sally $400 cash and a reloadable money card with $200 on it. As more donations come in (some are sending checks), I will load the money onto the money card, which she can use as a debit card. Sally was so surprised that people she didn't even know had been so good to her and Chelsea. She asked if this was from local people, and I told her a few local people, but the rest from all over the US plus Canada. She was shocked. Each of you who donated money or items deserve a great big (((HUG)))!
Sonja (WANNACOWBOY) and I arranged to meet up at the hospital to visit with Chelsea and Sally and give them the money. Most of the time we were in the hospital room, Chelsea was awake and looking around. She seemed to be looking at me like "Who is that?" She hasn't seen me in several years, so she probably wouldn't recognize me. I'm not sure how much she understood, but at least she was awake and looking around. She was tired after having a lot of company today. She is definitely making improvements, and we hope that she will be able to return to "normal" with the help of the rehab in New Orleans. The money we gave her will help Sally stay there with Chelsea. Also, Sonja's church donated money for Sally's room. Sally is very appreciative and said to thank all of you! So THANK YOU from Sally, Chelsea, Sonja, and me!

I'm praying that they have a safe trip down and all goes well at the New Orleans facility. I know the trip will be hard on Chelsea. Hoping she bounces back after a rest at her new home away from home. And hoping that Sally has an easy trip down and no problems. |

That is good to hear! I was wondering if all went well on the trip down, but I didn't want to call her. I know she's got lots of folks calling. I might call her tomorrow. Thanks for the update. |
