Location: MD		I took my 6 yr old with my 7yr old out on the trails with the neighbor girl today. the 7 yr old is great on the trails, and the 6 yr old has never been on one so I pretty much expected it to kind of be a wreck.

the 6 yr old was acting like an old seasoned pro and we were having so much fun we decided to race, and switch and race again. I was having some trouble getting the 6 yr old to realize how fast he can be until today. breezing him against his buddy, making that competitive nature come out and man this horse finally laid down some speed! It finally clicked with my boy and I'm SO much more excited to run him on a pattern I feel like I can stop babying him because CLEARLY he can handle it!!!

Has anyone had an epiphany with their horses lately?!

Location: Nebraska		I have! I just started running the mare in my avatar this year. She clocked 4D at the barrel bash up here but was always getting faster with each run. A few weeks later she clocked in the 2d against some of the same horses and has hit the 1D once since. In the video, she's not even running to first so I'm pretty excited for her. She ran at the bottom of the 2D this week after being a little brat with the banners and chutes near the first barrel before the race started. She didn't even bat an eye on them when we ran.

Location: on a horse		Yes, last Sat, took my 6 yr old, been working with a friend and decided it was now to go for it and we had been just sniffing the 5D was in the middle of 3D last Sat behind NFR horses and room for improvement. Don't know who was happier, me or the girl I was working with! LOL
