I will be taking her to the vet in the morning. I just want to know if anyone has any experience with this and their outcome. She isn't putting any weight on it. It did scrape off some skin so I have cleaned in and dressed/ wrapped it (not tight) She isn't crying when I touch/clean it just not wanting to put any weight on it.

I guess Im just wanting to see what other experiences are before I make it to the vet in the AM. Thanks!!!

I would medicate and treat her as if I had had the accident... making her wait for a morning visit would be total torcher...JMHO

I'm a vet tech, and we had a dog come into the clinic the other day with a similar story. Her paw was run over that morning. Had some road rash and it was swollen and she wasn't bearing any weight on the paw. We took X-rays and it was not broken, so we bandaged it and sent the dog home with pain meds. :) Hope your pup is okay!

Great news. I appreciate it! She barely made a noise when it happened but she did lose some skin not deep just a little blood. I have been putting nitrafurazone on it and cotton then wrapping it loosely with vet wrap. She is leaving it alone, I was just concerned that she wasn't putting weight on it. She will when she goes to the bathroom but that's it. Thanks for the response... positive thoughts ;-)
