| Help me please ! I found the perfect horse and I love him so much ! but my dad is being stubborn and is worried about my cattle, I have major shows coming up soon and I even offered my winnings (if I won anything) to help pay, but he wont budge, my mom is on board and understands that I only have a month to find a horse. but my dad just doesn't seem to care ! what can I do to make him understand. |

Location: Texas | Serious question: Do you really need a new horse? Are your parents looking for a new horse or do you just want one? Just because you've seen something online doesn't mean you NEED it.. I find my dream horse every other day lol |

| if I do not buy a new horse , then I cant rodeo or barrel race, im not aloud to ride my gelding anymore I is ill and loosing body mass. so we are trying to help him but we don't know if he will make it, I talked to both of my parents and they agreed about buying a new horse, with my aunt who was a barrel racer, and now they don't even care anymore, so yes, it is necessary to buy a new horse if I want to barrel race. this is why I don't know what to do because I want to barrel race more than anything |

I agree, that would probably be a better bet at the moment from what it sounds like. Until then maybe do some side jobs like warming up peoples horses, mucking stalls etc. For extra cash to save up for one later on. |

| my dad looked for a horse for 8 months.. i begged every day for a new horse haha. but i am so glad we waited because we found the right horse and we work well. just make sure you don't rush into the wrong thing and don't buy a horse just because you need it that instant. i mean just make sure that it is a good decision to buy because a high school rodeo horse is a big buy. best of luck! keep us updated.. |
