Location: Minnesota | Β Does anyone have experience with them? Looking at a 4 yr old gelding by him, out of a daughter of strait from Texas that is a granddaughter of boon bar on the bottom side. He has a solid start on reining, looking at him as a barrel prospect... |

| I have rode several CMS horses for a cutting trainer, I don't personally think they are great reining lines, they are extremely cowy. As far as running barrels, they are quick so I bet you'd have a good one! |

Location: Minnesota | Β I probably should have specified, I'm not looking for a Reiner haha he's with a prof trainer (reining cow horse) to be started. I've rode a few of them that were cutters, but i believe because of his size (he stands 15.2 as a 4 yr) he was not sent to the cutting pen. From what you've rode, did they seen fairly quiet? Broncy? |

Location: Idaho | I have a granddaughter. She is hot and has a big motor. I really enjoy her, but she's not a horse everyone could get along with. She has a year and a half of reining cow horse training and can do some cool stuff. Great big stop. But she was just to silly to get shown so I started her on barrels and so far so good. She will have the speed and turn for sure! She is also about 15.1 or 15.2. Very pretty thing. Hope you enjoy yours! |

I've only ridden a handful, but they all seemed to have pretty good minds. I'm a very quite rider, I don't jack them around, as long as they do their job I'm happy and won't nag. There was one in the bunch that was lazy but I attributed that to the fact he was imprinted at birth and spoiled rotten. As far as getting hot, I don't think so, they all wanted to work but won't throw a hissy fit or anything if you went to schooling on them. |
