I agree with the Respond Laser.  They have a rent proram so you would be able to try it to see if it helps.

Wash with warm salt water twice daily (a handful or 2 of table salt in an ice cream bucket of warm water)- just gently dab at the wound.

Once clean apply a paste of tea tree oil, canola oil, and baby powder and leave it.

Hubby's calf horse is the most accident prone animal I've ever owned so I've done a lot of trial and error in the past 2 years, and this seems to work better than anything else, its super easy to do, and its CHEAP!

Here is my take on wounds...... They are like watching paint dry..... you have to be patient with wounds. There are few things that can be used to excelerate healing but mostly time. Be careful when using laser and lights that you know for sure there is no infection. Good luck

I love healing wounds- it's not at all like watching paint dry for me, it's a miracle happening before my eyes!  On another note, lasers have been shown to prevent bacteria from wrecking havoc within a wound- you will have lots less drainage from dead cells when using a laser.  That's why I said using a laser is the fastest and cleanest way to heal up wounds.
