~BINGO~ - 2013-12-04 9:11 AM I appreciate the information. I will see if she can send more pictures at different angles. Just out of curiosity, what do you guys think would be a good price for him? Granted if a different picture would show a better booty.... im not necessarily looking for another horse, just thought if he was decent that it may be worthwhile. But im not into adding mouths to feed at $17 a bale.

Boy, some really nice horses passed in our LQHBA Fall Mixed sale for a bit less.

For instance, this mare sold for $1000. She was very nice looking.

OK, so it's hard to tell much by that photo.  It's just a bad angle.  A bad picture can make a halter horse look bad.

IMO, $1300 for a broke horse is a decent price.  His pedigree doesn't make me hyperventilate but it's a solid working pedigree - might have some speed in there too.

Is there a website for this sale? I might drive all the way there to get some good prospects for those prices!

The sale is once a year and is the LQHBA Fall Mixed Sale. Here's a link to the website... http://lqhba.com/index.php?page=sales-2

Wow LRQHS. Thats crazy. I dont know if we have horses in AZ bred that well. And if we did, they sure wouldn't be going for that cheap. People here want $500 for a crippled, 30 year old companion horse.

There were more and most of them were very reasonable. There are deals every year at this sale...every year. I have to refrain from going unless I'm really in the market, because they have passed some Zuppardo's Prince mares for $150. There was a daughter of my Shawne Bug mare that passed for $850 this year. She was a steal. She would have made a great broodmare for barrels or allowed to foal this year and turned into a barrel horse. The foal in her belly was worth at least twice her price easily.

Anyways, I told you I could find you a horse Hoofs In Motion lol......

Β LOL! no worries. I'm not too fond of him either. I was hoping the angle would make him look more appealing. But its not happening. Thank you for getting the picture up!

That is not a horse that "I" would ever be interested in for barrel racing. "I" would not buy him.

Does that mean he can't be a barrel horse? No. Does that mean you shouldn't buy him if you like him? No.

Honest opinion. Good luck with whatever you decide.

He's so ugly he's cute!!! Big jug head, little butt(compared to everything else on him), big shoulders, long body, but a kind eye! I'd take him if he was free, just to give lessons on.
