Okay, I have a PSSM type horse I'm feeding the controlled starch diet. I need to find the best vitamin/mineral supplement available. So many companies sell below par supplements without the daily requirement. Can anyone recommend something appropriate? Thanks!

Formula 707 Daily essentials HANDS DOWN. One little tiny scoop and they get everything they need.

I have had very good luck with one from equivision, he formulates triple crown. I really like it and notice the horses look great on it.

Our local co-op sells a loose mineral for horses that I really like. I have changed to more expensive brands several times and for one reason or another
(not due to price
) I have always ended up going back to the co-op minerals. Its only $15 for a 25 lb bag fed at 1 to 4 ounces per day so a bag lasts forever.

This might be up your alley...Red lake Diatomaceous earth , check out the added ingrediant. or one of those equine tub licks.

Thank you so much! I heard about DePaulo hair analysis today. I might check into that, I heard he also makes a supplement to go with whatever your horse might need extra help on. I'm assembling quite a list of things to research!

T.H.E. has a daily supplement just for PSSM horses. No sugars and includes electrolytes even. I can give more info if anyone is interested.

I looked into this...wondering if anyone else has done it! Seems a bit expensive....but if it tells you aka fly what you need....well....might be worth it,

I feed Triple Crown 30% ration balancer. Only product I have found to meet the daily requirements of a vit/min. It is low starch. If you need additional calories, add in Triple Crown Senior, which is also low starch. Check out Triple Crown Nutrition's web site. They have an article on feeding the PSSM horse:
