I'm a person who NEVER has warm toes, no matter how hard I try, so I'd like to try some insulated
(rechargeable
) insoles.. Does anybody have a recommendation for a pair that work?

Location: somewhere between here and the next barrel race
I've used electic socks... Yep, socks
(and, they each take one D cell battery
). Yep, it's a big flashlight battery, fits in a pouch at the top of the sock..
(Somestimes bulky, hard to get under the jeans or coveralls
). But they work for hours. I bought a few pair several years ago at the local K-Mart in the HUNTING section.. -- Cold-weather deer hunters , or cross country skiiers might use 'em, too. Socks are kinda thermal looking, with thin wires from toes to top
(at battery pouch
). I hand wash them. The electric socks are "always" grey with red tops. ... I just went an looked at 1 pair I still have in the box: manufactured by "Northwest Territory" company. They are "battery heated sox". - My box doesn't have any address, just "made in Koreo for Kmart Corporation, Troy, Michigan 48084". My box also states: "Y
ou control the heat by snapping and unsnapping top flap. It act as an on and off switch that provides about 4 hours of continuous heat, and more it used intermittantly".
Kmart's bar code = 0 84291 17391 9

Therma-Cell insoles. You can find them at Cabelas

Oh ya! I've seen the socks!! I'll have to check those out!
As far as the Therma Cell insoles, they seem to have horrible reviews on Amazon so was looking for an alternative, LOVE the idea though!

Glad someone asked this - my toes got a little frostbite as a kid, so I have a heck of a time keeping them warm now! I was trying to figure out what I could do that would still fit in my boots!

The reviews on the insoles aren't that good. But I think what happens is, people expect them to get really hot like the electric socks. However they are designed to not make your feet sweat. I think the low setting is 100 degrees, and high is 110. I have them and like them. And they have a remote like a key fob so you can control them with ease.
