Am I really the Weirdo? Posts: 11181 Location: Kansas	Makes me wonder if there is something behind one barrel that he doesn't like and changing the first barrel gives her a different angle on it so its not as scary. I've switched horses from right to left or left to right depending on arena conditions before. I'm sure she has a reason for doing it.

Veteran Posts: 126	I have a horse that runs equally well both directions so when I think that he has a better view of the first barrel one direction over another I will switch him. Maybe this is her thought process.

She's an NFR barrel racer, I doubt she "forgets" which barrel to go to first...it's not uncommon for horses to be switched to the opposite barrel. Martha was a prime example.
