I am selling some things for my son on ebay.
We listed a few items yesterday and one sold with buy it now.
The buyer as ZERO feedback as they just signed up for ebay yesterday as well. This buyer does not have a paypal account, but did pay through paypal. Buyer does not have a confirmed address.
My question is.... how do you feel about this transaction? Go ahead? Cancel it and refund their money? Take extra precautions to not get scammed?

Everyone has to start somewhere. If you are worried about it, immediately transfer $$ out of paypal, so paypal can't take it back if they file a dispute and then ship the item. Make copies of the shipping receipt and proof you sent the item, even pictures of the item before shipping.

I buy things off ebay the same way. I don't like making accounts and I try not to put to much personal information on the internet. I would do what the above poster said.

Paypal will just transfer it out of your bank if they dispute it so transferring it won't do any good. I saw a tack maker and buyer war play out on FB and Paypal holds the money till it is resolved. Go with your gut

PayPal will hold your money but ebay may not.
If you ship this item and then there is a problem with the payment , ebay is very good about giving you your money back directly through them.
I had purchased something on ebay and it showed up and was not authentic as advertised. I told the buyer and she said she would refund half my money and I would keep the item. I agreed . 3 weeks later never saw any money. I showed ebay the agreement we had made and the lack of money. Within 24 hours ebay had refunded me the ENTIRE amount into my paypal directly from them .

eBay will take care of you if there is a problem. If you want you can set it to where your items cannot be bid on or bought by people with no or low feedback. I can't remember the number it is but it can be done. Also google their email or name. You may be surprised how many websites out there keep track of frauds.
